The Superjam conflict sucks, but I'm definitely startin' off at Explosions In the Sky! If they keep my attention live then I'll skip SJ, otherwise I'll split my time half and half. You never know at Bonnaroo!

Anyone know how the radius clause works for festivals? I mean I know what it is, but I'm wondering how long it lasts after the festival. I'm worried there won't be a Chicago date that's not Lollapalooza because of it, and I'd be surprised if they come to Wisconsin. This would be huge, though.
I have seen videos of the band saying their sets are topped off at 45 minutes each because they put alot of energy into what they are playing.... do you guys think they will only play for 45 minutes when their block on the schedule is for a 1 1/2 hours?? I would love to see explosions for 45 minutes then head over to the strokes
This morning I had a dream that I was waiting for Explosions in the Sky to start at Bonnaroo... a friend who is not (currently) going to be able to fly out from New Mexico was waiting with me. I was wearing a poncho and it was sprinkling outside. The tent wasn't crowded with only 30 - 40 people in observance. Once the show began I broke into a sort of levitation dance at the left side of the stage, circling round and round, up and down (up to ten feet in the air) in variable motion... And then I woke up. The end. See y'all Sunday next. Watch out for the levitating guy ;D
Just scored two tickets to see Explosions in Big Sur at the Henry Miller Library. Holds 400 people, outside, in the middle of heaven.
Ya see, I don't get that sh*t. I'm jealous, you fu#ker. They're playing Denver in the Fillmore, which is great because it's approximately 2 blocks from my front door, but terrible because the Fillmore isn't worth a d@mn for anything other than "big rock" type shows - sound blows.

YES!
Unfortunately, the Denver date means I'll be skipping EITS and getting my Strokes fanboy thang on across the field.

A few people said it earlier in the thread, but I'd reeeeeeeeeeally like for them to play Human Qualities even though it's unlikely given that they don't seem to play that one live, judging by the most recent setlist.fm showings.
i think that may just be what was shown on the webcast. i watched it and i think that's where the webcast came in. they only showed the last 45 min. they probably played 2 more songs.
Yes I was there in Austin too. Great show.....wonder why they are so short though. Do you know the name of the opener?? Thought they were pretty good too.
Considering the average length of an EITS song, they really should think about beefing up their sets a bit - especially with some of the venues they've been booking.
This show was one of the biggest surprises for me all weekend. The last time I saw them they were sub-par, but this was something else. If it wasn't the best set all weekend, it was certainly the second best.
Regarding their set length: it varies greatly. The first few times I saw them in 04, 05, and 06 the sets were pretty short with no encore. In 07, or 08 (Whenever Lonesome came out) they played for a really long time with an encore. They change it up I guess?
