Literally just bought The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place cause I realized I still had money on an iTunes gift card. The only other album I actually own is All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone. How do you guys like that one compared to The Earth...

i really like "how strange, innocence", but it's slower than the others. they did a free show at SXSW a couple years ago on auditorium shores. finished out the night with a HUGE fireworks display over the lake, behind the stage. y'all are in for a treat i'm sure
All of a Sudden is my favorite album of theirs. Can't tell you how excited I am they finally got them. The Rescue's a pretty messed up album to listen to when you're pretty messed up. I used to listen to this all the time while falling asleep in bed. Craziest dreams of my life.
They're releasing a new album in April, so I'm guessing their set will include a lot of that.
And they usually alway include "The birth and death of a day" and "first breath after a coma" , which are my two favorite songs of theirs. So so so soooo good.
For those who haven't been exposed to their music yet, I'd say check out those two songs to be completely hooked.
From what I understand, they're touring with Eluvium, who's on the same label as Explosions, and this guy is fantastic. His stuff is primarily ambient, but he has one album (called: An Accidental Memory in the Case of Death) that's strictly classical piano and it's beautiful.
While he's not at roo, I really, really hope he's part of the additions.

I've seen them three times: 1st. Opened for Smashing Pumpkins (weird choice?), 2nd. Opened for The Flaming Lips, 3rd. At All Tomorrow's Parties before Sonic Youth.
Each time I saw them they just got better and better. I'm so happy they got to Roo cuz if not I was contemplating throwing down a bundle to see them at Radio City Music Hall 5 days before their album drops in april.
Just curious, what band would you say they are most similar to? Or better yet, for those of you who love them, who are some of your other favorite bands?
