At least in nyc, there is a supply shortage. I walked 30 minutes in the downpour to be turned away by Walgreens, who claimed they called people when they ran out yesterday. Nope. Then they said other mom & pops nearby had it. Not for another 2 weeks, apparently. I’m wet and pissed. We all have to be patent for another 2 weeks at least.

While I successfully got my new and improved booster shot here at Walgreens LA, they lost my insurance card while I was there, having bounced me around to 5 different people while they each took phone calls and filled prescriptions and had me fill out the same paperwork twice (I have another card at home and can print more at will, but sheesh).
Anyway, I can now get 6G just by sticking my arms in the air, so that's pretty cool.

We did a vaccine event for seniors last week and they ran out of COVID boosters. For some reason they only got two vials and this was through Walgreens.
I don't know if anyone else has had the latest strain of COVID, but I had it at the end of July and I am still having headaches on and off. Besides that, my sense of smell has been heightened instead of reduced.
Everything just smells gross to me. I'm washing my sheets like more than twice a week and all of my clothes, even if clean, they smell like sweat or smell musty.

Oh, you're just turning into a werewolf. Along with the heightened smell, be aware of any heightened hearing, lust for raw meat, and sudden urges to chase and bite the mailman.

Partner has COVID for the fourth time in two years, fuckin' sucks. Started having symptoms yesterday and I was with them Thursday night but no symptoms for me so far. Stupid dumb poopyhead virus.

Shit like this makes me really wonder why some people catch it multiple times and others don't. So weird. I hope you stay symptom free and your partner feels better quickly.

I have a friend who doesn't have a big social life (isn't a hermit but doesn't go to huge gatherings often) and she has gotten covid EVERY SINGLE TIME there is a wave. She got over her 4th or 5th bout of it last week. And I have other friends who've only had it once. I don't get it.

I have only had it once and it was January of 2022, and I am paranoid and test a lot. So fucking weird.
Edit to mention that one of my friends didn't even get it until this year for the first time. Again, just so weird that some catch multiple times and others don't.
has there been any research on the brain fog effect of covid? I can handle the rest of the symptoms but feeling like i've got brain worms for a while once a year is scary as hell
Novavax was approved, a great choice for those who, like me, had myocarditis/pericarditis after their most recent mRNA shot.
Now, I just need to find out what the recommended waiting period is after previous infection and I'll then be ready to get boosted (with Novavax) for the first time in two years.

Also, today at 2:20 PM, when FEMA does their comms system test, is supposedly when the 5Gs in the vaccines will be activated and we’ll all turn into zombies. See y’all on the other side.
Whew, Vegas seems like it's a cesspool of COVID right now, a LOT of my U2 pals and acquaintances, primarily COVID virgins, have come back with Sphere-rona. Even those who had gotten the new vaccine. Seems like I dodged the bullet, or else I had extra immunity from having it this past December.

When you sneeze from catching covid at the sphere, it sounds like you're saying "Achtung!"
me too. but i think it's the weather change, not covid.
I wasn’t sneezing at all when I had covid. It just stayed congested and felt worse because it wasn’t coming out.
I find body tiredness and congestion to be the most indictivate symptoms for average people who were vaccinated.
I know that out here in NY we are also fighting climate change dropping pollen now because of a weird year (forever). I have to check weather reports most days for work insight. I will tell you that the leaves not falling all at once out here is causing this constant throat and nose feeling that if I wasn't on enough drugs, I would probably try Claritin. If you feel out of your bed stupid tired like you have a haze and congestion.. test yourself. But also there is a cold/flu going around kids and I've picked up a soft version of it at least twice from family men that I work in close proximity too.
Ugh, Covid or flu like symptoms starting right before I have a weekend with 2 concerts and a 2 part wedding upcoming. Going to be gutted if it’s Covid and I have to sit these out.
