Heads up Walgreens is taking vaccine appointments for the new booster
Just a heads up that Walgreens has decided not sell mifeprestone in states even where abortion is legal. I try to avoid them in all ways when possible.

Some people just want to get the shot asap - just passing along the info.

Well that’s some bullshit.
Edit-hold up. There is more to this. (Not that I like Walgreens).

Hm, they backpedaled then. This seems to be their official position at this point but their PR person confirmed that early in the year that they replied to Republican AGs saying they wouldn't sell mife in their states. Anywho, I don't want to derail the thread; thanks for the info Druid.
There’s like 3 Rite Aids left in New York City - a rare treat
The Rite Aids here got bought by Walgreens. And most of those have since closed.
Same here. When I bought my house in 2016, there was a Rite Aid and a nice (one of the few nice ones) Walgreens right by my house. Then they bought Rite Aid, the nice Walgreens and Rite Aid closed, and they tried to force everyone (in one of the largest districts of NOLA) to ONE, really horrible, shitty ass Walgreens. I then went to the local pharmacy and they closed. I order my meds online now because there is only a CVS and a Walgreens left. We went from 5 pharmacies to 2 and 90% of people go to Walgreens since CVS doesn't take most insurances around here.

And they don't answer their phones.
I have a story. So a patient got fed up with CVS and asked me to get a copy of her prescription. I called, and called, and called. Finally they picked up and immediately put me on hold. So I put it on speaker and let it hold. FOR THREE HOURS! I shit you not. It was a record for me. Finally it was time to close, so I hung up. Locked up, and drove by the CVS since it was on my way home and flipped them the bird.

been feeling like crap the past few days but have vigilant about testing and so far it's negative but I'm currently in a classroom and this one girl has been having a coughing fit the entire hour. I wanna scream at her that she shouldn't be here but there's nothing I can do and I hate this feeling.

Masking?
I mean yeah, moving forward and I should have started as soon as I wasn't feel well so I'm part of the problem. I got too comfortable knowing full well this isn't going anywhere. I guess it's a reminder that it's foolish to be lax on something that never went away.

I was on a really crowded train today for the first time since moving to the bay area, and I'd say close to 30% of people were masked. I'm wondering if thats typical or if people are taking caution again with the uptick in cases

CVS is doing a pal of mine, who is an employee there, dirty but as a customer I like the CVS way better around me than Walgreens. But CVS doesn't take my insurance anymore, so am stuck with Walgreens. Anyway, have an appointment for Monday for the new shot - Moderna this time after being all Pfizer previously, hopefully I remain free from vaccine side effects.
11/28 Raveonettes (Copenhagen, Denmark) 12/4 Interpol 12/14 LCD Soundsystem 12/31 Billy Joel 1/25 The Killers (Las Vegas) 2/12 Jack White 2/25 Father John Misty 3/6 Inhaler 4/10 Franz Ferdinand 4/17 Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds 5/15 Amyl & the Sniffers 5/18 Fontaines D.C. 9/1 Oasis
These shots are free right? Now I’m nervous with the tests being insanely expensive
From what I've read, they cost like $120 but most health insurance plans will cover them and most communities offer some free options, but likely not at a big-box pharmacy.

I'd estimate no more than 5-10% of people are masked on buses and subways in Boston, at least from what I've observed lately.

I got it over labor day weekend and into the week. Same shit, sucked. Fever/chill started Saturday night, body aches for 3 days and super tired, stuffed up in the later half of the week when the fever and aches went away.
Homemade remedy was eating spicy food (didnt lose smell or taste luckily), fluids, juices, some of thay douchey Prime drink, ibuprofen, and gabapentin (actually found research on this, not just horse dewormer)
Fortunate to have PTO, plus working in a food factory has always been a "sick, stay home" mentality for food safety (well not all companies). Been masked up at work and in public since

It's fairly easy to get prescribed as its not a narcotic but used for anxiety, sleeping issues and muscle relaxing. I got it for anxiety and nightime twitching and my dog had it when his back was giving out at old age
Googles gabapentin uses, side effects and what to avoid while taking it:
What should you avoid while taking gabapentin?
Alcohol. Antihistamine-containing cold, cough and allergy products. Certain medicines for anxiety or sleep. Certain medicines for depression, such as amitriptyline, fluoxetine and sertraline. Certain medicines for seizures, such as phenobarbital and primidone.
I am out. Allergy induced asthma daily meds wins always.
