I'm seeing him in a month at Yankee Stadium. I was speaking to my father (the biggest Beatles fan I've ever met, and it's not even close) about the show, being genuinely excited I'm going to get to see a Beatle in concert, and he goes "oh, where are the seats?" I give him our modest section # (not bad seats, btw) and he laughs and goes "Son, the only way to see Paul is front row, try not being such a loser next time".
Thanks, Dad. Oh, and apparently he's on a first name basis with him.
But my Dad basically said you will never, ever, ever, ever, ever leave a Macca concert unhappy. It's a physical impossibility. If he ever headlines Roo my Dad is renting us an RV and driving down with us, so I'm rooting for this two-fold (great show, free and awesome transportation).
My #1 wish for any Roo act, ever. More than Clapton, Prince, Roger Waters, Radiohead, Bowie, Daft Punk or any other gigantic name of that caliber. I saw Paul McCartney twice at Fenway Park two summers ago, and they were among the greatest shows I've ever seen in my life. Sir Paul does not fuck around live. I'm seriously considering scrounging up $150-$200 for a field ticket at Yankee Stadium next month and I never drop that kind of cash on a single performance.

That's a bit blasphemous, Jack. Never put Prince at anything less than #1.
For my personal tastes, I don't know if even the Purple One can truly compare. Some of these acts have been my favorite bands for more than half my life, so I know the gravity of these statements I'm making. I guarantee you that Paul McCartney at Roo would be talked about for years in the same breath as Radiohead '06 or MMJ '08 - he's that good.

I know I've seen Paul. But I have to defend the Purple One when I get the chance because he is my future husband.

Yea.....that'd be pretty f'n awesome.
I'd like that lineup a lot. I'd personally be happy with McCartney over maybe U2 or Coldplay but that's a great top of the bill you came up with. Jay-z/Kanye would be fantastic.

i've seen paul four times and his coachella performance was definitely my favorite. major venues (ie the staples center) just don't compare. i'm all for him headlining next year!!
I actually had a dream last night that the headlining sets at bonnaroo were as followed:
Friday: Iron Maiden / Muse split, Outkast LN Which Saturday: Paul McCartney, Daft Punk LN Which Sunday: Furthur
This wasn't a dream dream, because there is not Tool, Radiohead, and Pink Floyd; instead it was a semi realistic dream, with a little bit of everything.
Saw him last summer and the show was great. Probably my favorite show I have ever been to. The only time I ever got chills just watching someone walk on stage. Also only concert I can remember that made front page news in Charlotte the next day.

Paul McCartney HL Saturday followed by Daft Punk LN. With Radiohead playing Friday night followed by a LN Which Stage set by Gorillaz. I'm starting the rumor now.
