This is my #1 want. I don't care who else is at the top of the lineup, this is what I want. Yes, done, a million times over. Bring me Paul McCartney and I'll be the happiest person on Earth when he plays the Farm.
I cannot comprehend how someone could not want this to happen.
He could get up there and fart for three hours and I'd cry, cheer, and pray it never stop.
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.
It was a good show, I would go see it again if played Bonnaroo, but it is not as high up on my wish list as some acts I have never seen.
Same for me. There are others I'd rather have. But at the same time, I wouldn't be upset if Paul came to Roo because I know it would be a good show and lots of people would be happy.

There is no one alive higher on my list for Roo than Paul McCartney, even though I've seen him. I'd prefer it to Radiohead, Daft Punk, and everyone else I've ever seen- hands down.
If paul headlines saturday then there better be some other good bands on the What that day, because id probably be trying to get to the front to see him starting like thursday morning.

You would have to camp out at What all day. If Paul does play I will be at the pit line at the start of the pre-headliners set though.
I swear the best part of Pauls set is his solo acoustic set. At least that is my opinion from when I saw him. The band left the stage for a four songs and Paul got out that acoustic guitar and played Mother Nature's Son, Calico Skies, Something, and Yesterday. It can only be described as devine

I'm already nonchalantly hanging out by the porta potties. You guys are late.

I usually go in on the right. The camera has never really been in my way because it's constantly moving. I was directly under it for Snoop Dogg in 09 and it wasn't a problem at all.

Wow! What an amazing show he put on at Wrigley last night. Everyone including the entire band was having a blast for close to 3 hours and he sounded so good. His production was outstanding too. Great light show, great sound and huge screens. He seemed very happy to be back in Chicago and was so appreciative of the crowd. Setlist below. From Eleanor Rigby to the end was one of the greatest stretches of songs I've ever seen.
1. Hello, Goodbye 2. Junior's Farm 3. All My Loving 4. Jet 5. Drive My Car 6. Sing the Changes 7. The Night Before 8. Let Me Roll It 9. Foxy Lady 10. Paperback Writer 11. The Long and Winding Road 12. Nineteen Hundred and Eighty-Five 13. Let 'Em In 14. Maybe I'm Amazed 15. I've Just Seen a Face 16. I Will 17. Blackbird 18. Here Today 19. Dance Tonight 20. Mrs Vandebilt 21. Eleanor Rigby 22. Something 23. Band on the Run 24. Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da 25. Back in the U.S.S.R. 26. I've Got a Feeling 27. A Day in the Life 28. Give Peace a Chance 29. Let It Be 30. Live and Let Die 31. Hey Jude
Encore: 32. Lady Madonna 33. Day Tripper 34. Get Back
Encore 2: 35. Yesterday 36. Helter Skelter 37. Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End (Beatles)
How plausible is this? Would love to get some insider perspective/ hints/ ideas. I would go Robert Johnson to make this happen. On my "If I could see anyone still alive..." list, one of the Beatles is DEFINITELY at the top. I was disappointed by Robert Plant and BOJ's performance, and I didn't get to hear Buffalo Springfield at all thanks to the leno sound system.
I've already purchased my tickets, so I'm in no matter what, but this would just be effing icing on the cake. It would make the whole trip worth it! Maybe pigs will fly and CSNY will reunite, too
Saw him tonight in Detroit, just absolutely incredible. As others mentioned doing, I wept like a little bitch at various points in the set (Let it Be and Hey Jude really got me). Played for a solid 3 hours, hit after hit with seemingly as much energy as hes ever had. His voice hasnt taken a hit at all either. The man was just born to perform music. Incredible backing band. Great light show and even some pretty awesome pyrotechnics. Also he did Helter Skelter. Hes 69 years old. And he fucking rocked it. Hands down the best (realistic) show that Roo could possibly book.
Also, simply reading this made me tear up and freak out. Thinking of hearing those classics takes me back to the best childhood memories of "Breakfast with the Beatles" every Sunday with my family.
If anyone is against Paul headlining just look at jetlag's setlist post above. I know some people want Prince and other classic acts but none of them could put together a 37 song setlist that stout. The Stones maybe but I don't see them as realistic as Sir Paul. Just hit after hit after hit. Thanks for the post jetlag. Friday for you

I don't even know where to start with this.
Glad you said it and not me, Juggs. I'm ready to virtually smack some sense into people.
