I saw them on Friday night in Alpharetta and they blew my mind. The visuals were astounding and the band was absolutely incredible. Beth/Rest was so intense; the bass in the second half shook the earth.
Bon Iver's hour and a half set time was great for people who are fans of them (me), but a lot of people around me were complaining about how boring it was. I loved it, but the longer set time allowed him to play a lot of his slower songs early which I think bored a lot of people.
Did either you two that disliked this set every actually listen to Bon Iver before?
yeah, just his hits but i thought he possessed that energy that it wouldnt matter if i wasnt a big fan. i was wrong. the music was beautiful but it was too boring like very boring
Beach Boys > Bon Iver was my favorite part of the whole fest. Bon Iver absolutely blew my mind. The sound was beautiful and filled the What field. A magical afternoon and a great cap to the weekend!

I still wish Bon Iver and Rodrigo y Gabriela had been switched. It would've made much more sense stylistically and logistically (for me {Ben Folds Five & Civil Wars}). I was in the pit and thought it was great.

absolutely incredible. being in the pit for the was the best show of the weekend for me. bon iver had many people around me crying. again, awesome show.
Not really. That set was incredible. You saying it wasn't lead me to believe you didn't know what to expect.
I was expecting a slower set than what they played honestly. I watched the Coachella feed, and they were so slow that I thought it may bore me, even though I listen to them.
I did not expect them to rock as hard as they did. Yes, they did have some slower songs, which I liked. However, they did have some hard hitting tunes that rocked harder than I thought they would. It was really nice to have them between the Beach Boys and Phish. I liked the flow and where they were and how they sounded - they are a top 5 show for me this weekend.

Second favorite show of the weekend for me. Everything about it was perfect. Loved the light rain falling the whole show and everyone around me was super into it. Only complaint was I wish he played longer and where the hell was RE: Stacks?! I wanted to more from For Emma but it makes sense that he would mostly play the new album. Le sigh...
