This thread definitely needs more action. I love For Emma and Blood Bank, but the self-titled is by far my favorite. I mean...just...damn! I would love for Bon Iver -> Radiohead with FTP on Which. It would be the best few hours of my life standing so close for it all!

Love for emma, foerever ago, just an amazing album. I really like about half of the songs on the self titled abum but im excited to see how they sound live. Got front row tickets to see Bon Iver at the santa barbara bowl so seeing him at bonnaroo will be my second time )). Cant wait

Their 3 Coachella performances that are all over the internetz are phenomenal. This should be a top-notch show.
When I discovered them a year ago, my first response was "what's this pretentious crap"?. Now I'm a completely converted fan....and their live performances all seem completely stellar.
They're not even the same band that played at Bonnaroo 2009. Just look at that show and what they're like in concert now. They've grown so much in such a short time, it's pretty damn amazing and kind of unbelievable at the same time. Really hoping they get a late night set because this is a band where you don't want to have any other sound bleeding from other stages going on. Late Night Which Stage would be ideal. Even if Bon Iver were the only band playing Bonnaroo, it'd still be worth the drive for me.
I've loved both albums but have been kind of meh on the idea of seeing them. After that coachella webcast, I'm just praying they get a sundown which set on sunday, that would be truly magical. Regardless, that webcast proved to me that their live show is a pretty incredible thing.

The Avett Brothers & Ben Folds Five were previously my most anticipated shows. After watching the webcast, Bon Iver has jumped full speed ahead. Holy quacking poop. The band is incredible live. I love the albums, but damn, live they are just something else. I'm hoping for a sundown set too. I really wish they were playing Saturday night though.

From where I was standing at Coachella, the crowd didn't seem too into it. A ton of people left after Skinny Love. I bet he'll get a better reception at Bonnaroo though, which will make that Wolves singalong incredible.

Only thing that sucks about playing to such a massive crowd in a festival setting is the lack of For Emma songs. Something like Re:Stacks isn't going to work as well when you have tens of thousands of people watching from a field.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how good this show turns out to be...even in front of this many people.

After Watching their entire Coachella performance, their Roo show has the opportunity to be the best of the weekend. Wish it wasn't Sunday, but thats ok. Hopefully is starts no earlier than 7, but that may be unlikely.

Seeing re:stacks live would make my life and break my heart at the same time.
Last night I went to the Bon Iver taping at Austin City Limits Live. I actually waited about 2 hours to get into the taping and somehow didn't make it in. Anyways, I decided I was sneaking in and after about 45 minutes of figuring out how I would do this I accomplished my goal (not revealing my secret, haha). I came in right after Holocene....missed the first 9 songs caught the last 9.
The portion I saw was incredible re:stacks and Wolves were pretty awesome to see live. I'm really dissapointed that this show will be on Sunday and not leading into Radiohead or RHCP!!
Anyways, thought I would share a picture of the set list and my view of the taping.....this should air in the fall and will be great.

Little did I know when I posted that a few weeks ago that I would be third row for The Shins -> Bon Iver -> Radiohead at Coachella in a matter of days. Wow. It was a dream come true.
I put up some sweet Radiohead pics and videos in that thread (check them out, one got retweeted by Bonnaroo's In/At/On).
Here is the beginning of Holocene, my personal favorite Bon Iver song.
Sorry the quality sucks. I sent it to a friend via mms to email, which was lucky because I accidentally deleted it from my phone trying to clear room for Radiohead pics, but the version my iphone saved in the text convo was a different file format with shittier quality. I'll check with my friend and see if she got the better version in her email.

A friend of mine saw them at Jazz Fest and she simply will not shut up about how amazing they were. I probably would have passed on the show, but between her and the videos in this thread I'm probably going to check it out!
I'm sad that I'll have to miss most of Ben Folds Five. I'm also giving up Joy Formidable and probably the entire Civil Wars set, but Bon Iver is in my top 5 for this year! I can't wait!!!!
I was wowed. Would've been better at night but all in all it was pretty great. The crowd singing for Wolves was one of the coolest moments I've ever been a part of.
I dunno Bon iver was pretty dull I was definitely disappointed. Too depressing for the last day of Bonnaroo. I needed something to keep me from thinking about Bonnaroo ending.
