The show in 09 was quite good, but I was expecting something totally amazing... I thought the emotion and atmosphere was there, but there were some vocal issues I picked up on. I'd love for a return, on a bigger stage (the tent they were in in 09 was already one of the more crowded day time crowds in a tent that year) and with more exposure, it could be right in line with a very memorable show.

With the full band and more electric sound I think this could turn into a good late night show, but late afternoon would be great as well. I believe we will see Bon Iver on the lineup come February.

Definitely agree that it could be a good late night. Saw them in Milwaukee a couple months ago and the lights were pretty awesome. Here's a sweet picture during Blood Bank that I didn't take.

I don't think they are quite big enough for pre headliner. Which closer is possible, but I think late night tent would be the best. Hell, lets have a Vernon tent Bon Iver>Gayngs late night, or Gayngs>Bon Iver, doesn't really matter, I'd be there the whole time.
I miss the days when the site wasn't affiliated with Bonnaroo and I could dismiss most of these posts by reminding the OP of it.
Every year around this time, this board starts to remind me of ESPN. You know how you watch Sportscenter sometimes, and the "experts" tell you what free agent is going where, and it gets you all excited? That's the stage we're in now, nine months before the season starts. Then when the fee agent actually signs, it's a completely different team than what the 24/7 ESPN analysts and experts said.
Every. Damn. Year.
But yea, bring on Bon Iver. Always wanted to see him live.
It's called speculation and I don't think we'd have much to do in the 8 months of the year we don't know a lineup without it.
Oh I'm not complaining really, just more of a random thought. I agree you have to vent somehow, it just drives me insane seeing all these awesome bands being discussed so early. I wish they were all at the farm.
I like to think the bonnaroo twitter gives us some hints as to the next year by what shows they're tweeting about. During the summer they tweeted about seeing Bon Iver and how good it was. Also, since the sound is so much bigger this album I'll eat my hat if they're not there. I saw them in Indy in July and it was incredible.

My guess is Which closer. Not to already be a jackass and make people disappointed, but I could see them in a tent closing situation where AC tries to thin the crowds by putting them up against a similar act somewhere else, like Fleet foxes on Which.

That sounds about right. I just hope that wherever they play it's nighttime. I would enjoy a Gayngs set also if they're still doing shows with that project.

I should just shut up.
I think they did this with the Avett Brothers and Mumford and Sons in '10.
