Thought the song was decent. I agree, very consistent. Hopefully there will be some different stuff on the CD. I don't really want to pay "Brothers part 2".

There's an El Camino leak out there Anyone else hear it yet?
I've only listened once partially through. There's some great stuff here and there, but overall I'm unimpressed. I was hoping for more of a throwback to their heavier blues-ier stuff (which I thought we were promised).

What you just said. I got my hopes way up. It's good not great.

I'm about to give it a listen and I know we were promised that but from the first 2 singles you knew that isn't what we were getting.
Edit: Upon further review it is an OK album. I think the good makes up for the not so good. It's like brothers but faster and not as 'sexy'.
I really dig Little Black Submarine, Run Right Back, and Mind Eraser.
I've listened to the 5 tracks they released today. So far I like it more than Brothers but that could be because it's new and Brothers has gotten beaten to death on radio/satellite radio.

I also listened to the 5 new tracks they released today and I have to say I really dug it. Little Black Submarines was definitely the stand out in my book.
havent heard it yet, but just want to say we werent promised a return to their blusier stuff. they said they were going more of the old 60s/70s rock route. they mentioned a couple originators of the punk movement for this album from what i recall.

Patrick tweeted that they'll have the release show Dec. 5th at Webster Hall in NYC. Said, "NYC fans tickets are already paid for...more info how to get them soon". A free Black Keys show would be amazing. I'll be there Monday.
