I'm on the eff U2 band wagon. Mainly because Bono makes me kinda want to throw up. If the rest of the band just came and played instrumentally that would be cool.
Every time you post something where you don't just like a band, but it will make you so angry that it might keep you away from the farm altogether, yea I'm going to post something. Because it's a pretty big over-reaction. Especially when it's a band as harmless as U2.
We're not talking ICP or Nickelback here.
Well, for one, I think we all know music is subjective. Second, when it comes to my summer plans, I'm pretty strapped financially. So if it comes down to spending 300 on one festival, or 300 on two festivals, I look at the lineups. I'm sorry if my not being drawn in by the all mighty philanthropic Bono offends you, but you're either going to have to get over it and move on, or just spread further douchery for no real reason other than your thoughts on what I should think or say about a bonnaroo headliner.
I don't have a problem with you other than your incessant need to start assinine arguments. You could just act your age and ignore one out of hundreds of other posts. I'd like to be able to post my opinions the same way you do without worrying that you're just going to take it and be .shitty to me about it.
oh.. and when I was looking at U2's new tour dates I noticed the 'odd' 10 day break they have in their schedule during the second week of June. I was excited, then I realized that Glastonbury is generally at the same time as Roo. No way they don't headline Glastonbury next year, so I say it looks doubtful for Roo. I could be wrong; I was about Jay and Isle of Wight, so who knows.

I just realized the age difference. Now it's not so much annoying as it is laughable. Which is nice because now I realize how so many people put up with him.

U2 headlining would be fine as long as the other two are Neil Young and My Morning Jacket.
If it's U2, Lady Gaga, and Green Day then i'd probably be upset.
No doubt, I think you actually nailed next year...I think Neil could headline Friday w/MMJ late night to follow on the what stage...with probably the Allmans closing
the part in question being 'Threre's one problem with this rumor. U2 are locked into an exclusive agreement with Live Nation to promote their concert performances until 2020. They can play glastonbury because Live Nation co-owns the festival.
Bonnaroo is owned by AC Entertainment, thus making it a business impossibility for them to play there.'

I wouldn't read into that too much, bands play both festivals all of the time. And Pearl Jam has an exclusive contract with live nation yet they played Outside Lands,Bonnaro (ac/superfly) and Lollapalooza all in the last 5 years. I can't see Bono restricting himself for the next 10 years from other festivals or promoters,he's a smart guy, and you are basically outing yourself for good, unless 10 years from now 60 year old Bono crosses Bonnaroo off his bucket list. It would just make no sense to basically shut down all chances to play the U.S biggest festival. I expect them to be @ Bonnaroo & Glastonbury this year. I thik that agreement was in place to have them play Glasto last year and Bonnaroo X this year, Bono got hurt, they canceled, now he has to play both this summer. The 10th anniversary is a big deal, so why not have the biggest band over the last 25 years headline.
