So, anyway, they don't make me not wanna go to Roo next year if they play. The more headliners I don't want to see the better because that means I can take a nap and a shower before late night.
But what if all the late nights suck as bad as U2?
Then I get a good long night of rest or my own party at my campsite. Roo is too long of a drive for me to be negative about one bit of the line-up.
OK, that was just low! Take it back! Everyone needs to love them!
I know what you're saying, and if you wanna get into a Daft Punk/TMV debate, I'll be more than happy. Daft Punk is truly awful, no matter how you cut it... at least Volta have good instrumentalists, a couple of well recieved albums, an ever changing live show, and it's at least a little different in the sea of a million Blitzen Trapper and Bon Iver esque bands poluting college radio stations.
What does Daft Punk have? The Pyramid, motor cycle helmets, and "Around The World"? Oh... wait... they don't even have what remade them relevant a few years ago: being sampled by Kanye and The Pyramid.

Nothing at all is wrong with Kraftwerk .... quackin awesome group if you ask mme.
It's bands ripping them off and not adding individuality to it that's wrong.
To be totally fair, if they were there, against nothing I wanted to see, and the people with me wanted to go, I'd go dance and probably enjoy myself. Doesn't change that I think their music holds little to no redeeming qualities. And you're right, my opinion is unlikely to change as I've had it for about a decade.

This is fun...
without even taking the opinion into account, this is the stupidest thing I've ever read on this board. If this isn't a joke, you literally have no idea what you're talking about.
I was more referencing the fact that you think any daft punk fans give a shit about "around the world." apparently you stopped doing your in depth research on the band's music in 1998.
I'm sure most would agree that they've not really deveoped creatively over the last decade, so I feel Around The World was as good an example as any.
Also, apparently the most you're talking about haven't heard of Discovery. Which was both by far their most successful album and a complete departure in sound.
