DAve has been in several movies but Ive yet to see the SNL sketch because I can't stand that show. He was in Don't Mess With the Zohan, Because of Winn Dixie, an episode of House, some remake of The Secret Garden and who knows what else. Dave is quite a character if you've ever seen him dance recently, you know what I mean.

Yes indeed! I love the Dave dance during Cornbread, he just makes me grin
I'm not worried about DMB's dbag fans. I'm just worried about Dave's terrible song writing.
lmfao
dave mathews band has far and away the best songs of anyone remotely associated with the jam band scene. even if there is just a thread of attachment...
if only to get Carter in a superjam, it's worth it.
Carter Beauford is one of the best and MOST underrated drummers of the past 15 years. The man is ridiculous.
Anyway, DMB on the Farm would make ME extremely happy...and while I understand the "I don't want them taking up a headliner spot" argument, lets be honest...they would probably play Sunday and the Sunday headliners the last four years have been Phil & Friends, Widespread, Widespread and Phish. It's not exactly the slot they use for festival defining acts. It's where they stick someone established and comfortable who will sell a few more tickets and make the majority of the people who stick around happy.
All that being said, i think the odds are pretty good Dave makes it back to Roo in some capacity.

I think I'd rather see a reincarnation of Dave and Friends than DMB and I'm a huge DMB fan.
I just wish that they would start writing music that included Boyd again. He's gotta be the most ridiculously bored multimillionaire around! Pluck the fiddle for a few songs until they get to something off of Under the Table and Dreaming or Crash and then solo to raucus cheers!

Yeah it seems like Boyd is always an afterthought. But too much Boyd would make all of their music sound the same. Most people already have that problem with DMB.

I'm pretty sure that their 05 set went a long way towards quieting the haters even if it may not have converted them. They played a great 3 hr set with some help from Warren Haynes and Robert Randolph, the place was packed and the festival has continued to exist. They are definite headliners -- I hope they are back!

Anyone who is a DMB hater has not seen them live, imo. I don't understand how you can't like their live show. Great lights from Fenton, high energy usually. I think they'd make a great haedliner this year. If they are there, then Jeff Coffin will be on the farm and he'd sit in on as many sets as he could.

Trey sat in with DMB at Saratoga when I saw them in the summer of 07 or 08. (After his arrest and whatnot.) I doubt that there are hard feelings there...

BTW, it seems as if everyone is assuming that if DMB shows up, they'll be a Sunday night headliner. What about Friday night? I would assume WSP/some incarnation of the Dead/SCI might fill the Sunday slot...
