Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
NIN would doubtfully however Saul's old DJ said that Trent and Saul will be touring together in summer 08. Trent said earlier that the next tour would be completely different from before.
I could definitely see Trent/Saul do a late night Roo show, both of their latest albums (Year Zero/Niggy Tardust) are amazing, and I could definitely see a lot of Fragile being played at Roo too.

I don't know if anyone's into myspace, it may get a bad rap, but you can definitely find a ton of good bands on there, anyways, I created a Bonnaroo poll on there and I'm trying to get people to vote on it. I know we have several polls here on Inforoo, it was just something I wanted to add on my myspace page, here's the link:
All things being equal, I think My Morning Jacket on Friday, Pearl Jam on Saturday, and Radiohead to close Sunday would be the closest thing to perfect for 2008 as they could make it... at least for me.

Brokenlight, i voted for led Zep on your poll, but that's because, who wouldn't want to see that? But i was torn... Pink Floyd, my fav band ever! If that was the choice? no-brainer... some form though, i'd love to see Waters headline, but I've seen him do that before, so, i mean, given the choice... Led Zep! Gilmour... he's farkin' awesome live, but him alone? Latenight, or, well, no... latenight, preferrably Superjam. I only say no to Dylan, but that's because i just saw him at ACL where i thought he was great, but, i just saw him. The Stones? i hope i see them before they (or I) die, just because... but Bonnaroo doesn't have to be the place... though I'd have no problem if it was. Some form of the Dead? that will be there regardless, no? Doesn't have to be a headliner for me, but I'm not a deadhead, just like the Dead... no problem if it happens though Allmans? Totally, but not over Zep of Floyd!!! Neil would be a great show, never seen him and want to... but Zep or Floyd, that is an eclipse and a half !!! Springstein... sure, i don't love him, but would check that one off the list and for sure have a good time... Bowie... the hardest to ignore. LOVE him, and have seen him before, but not when he was at his best, but i know for a fact, mostly... he IS! Would get me there, no question... but once again... Floyd or Zep, god that makes me creame (sorry, crass) Bottom line... this is perfect for me... Bowie, Friday Zep, Saturday and Floyd (all four) to close it all out... (and let's not leave out MMJ to do midnight Thurs) but that's me, and not Bonnaroo. That could make Roo implode (in a bad way...) i mean, good luck getting tickets to that... Whole New Crowd
any one of the 3 (4?) is good enough for me, or any of them really

After I created that poll, I started questioning why I even made it in the first place. I was bored and it seemed like a fun thing to do, and I surf the internet every night for music-related stuff. But it's actually possible for more than just one of those bands to play Bonnaroo. I mean, I asked out of 10 bands, which one people would like to see. The choices I gave were (and these were all based on my opinion and speculation):
Paul McCartney - probably would never happen at Bonnaroo, I have to see him before I die
Rolling Stones - also would probably never at Bonnaroo, I would like to see them before I die, but if that doesn't happen then I'm okay with that, I've never been a big fan
Bob Dylan - has happened, he may play again, I saw him for the first time about a month ago, I'm happy I've seen him, but I wish I could say that I saw him 20+ years ago, but I'm only 26
Led Zeppelin - I think they definitely have a chance at playing this year
some form of Pink Floyd - not sure if/when they'll reunite again, so either Waters or Gilmour, I've seen Waters in 2006, by far the best show I've ever seen, I mean that's as close as you're gonna get to a Pink Floyd show today
some form of the Grateful Dead - having seen both Bobby/Ratdog and Phil, I've never seen the Dead, or the Grateful Dead, I'm 26, but I'd like to see the Dead get together again, Bruce Hornsby would be a nice addition to their lineup, we usually get some form of Dead at Bonnaroo, Phil's kicking ass now, Bobby's always good, I'd like to see the Dead get together again at some point
Allman Brothers - I think they're due to come back, I'm just not convinced they would draw the fanbase to headline, which they should considering they are one of the originators of southern rock, oh yeah, and they started playing like 40 years ago
Neil Young or CSNY - I've never seen either one of these, if that Pearl Jam thing comes true, it would only be right that at least Neil be there, and with CSNY's tour last year, I think they could be in consideration to play
Bruce Springsteen and E Street - the new cd, the Arcade Fire appearance, the Jazz Fest a couple years ago, a huge band, I've heard they put on a hell of a show, I'm thinking we may get them instead of Zeppelin
David Bowie - never been a huge fan, I do like some of his stuff, but I think it would definitely be a great live show, I definitely see him playing Coachella before Bonnaroo, but it would be nice to have 70,000+ people singing along to Space Oddity
Okay, so basically the reason I made this poll was to see how many people would pick Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Dead, Neil, Bruce and Bowie. I figure the Allman's could still play if any of these were playing, and maybe some form of the Dead also, and maybe Neil. But out of Zeppelin, Floyd, Bruce and Bowie, I think we could really only have one of them. I would really like Zeppelin, but any will do. If any of these don't headline at Bonnaroo next year, I will be suprised/shocked. So assuming the PJ thing is true, I bet we also get:
Neil Young Led Zeppelin, Roger Waters, Bruce Springsteen or Bowie (probably the Boss) The Dead or Phil Allman's
Neil could open for Pearl Jam
Allman's could open for the Dead or Phil
If we get the Boss, maybe Paul Simon could open for him, I think I heard somewhere that Simon might be getting back together with Garfunkel, that'd be pretty sweet, maybe Ryan Adams could open for the Boss - is Ryan that big, to where he could get a spot like that, I downloaded his show from Indy a few weeks ago, and it went over 3 hours, which most bands, don't go over 2-2.5 hours, I'd like to think we might get some kind of folk/rock act before the Boss
But if Zeppelin or Waters played, who would open? It probably doesn't matter, but I have this problem thinking that a band opening for someone, has to have a similar fanbase as the headliner. They don't have to, I just always think that. But my musical tastes are so diverse, I guess I never really think most people at Bonnaroo are the same way. Either way, the headliners always seem to be:
1. mainstream, appealing to the younger generation 2. classic rock, appealing to the older generation 3. jamband, appealing to the hippies, or festival people, or the Bonnaroo vets, or whatever you want to call them, I like them, I just don't want to stereotype anyone here
but anyways, all 3 appeal to me, I'm 26, but I feel I should've been 21 and at the original Woodstock or Monterey. So like with last year, Tool, Police, and Panic, I was a fan of all at some point in my life, Tool - a fan more when I was in high school and listened to mostly metal even though they aren't necessarily metal, Police - actually never really a fan, obviously I knew who they were, and I knew they're music, but this past year, I started listening to them because they were on the lineup and I'm glad I've seen them, Panic - I became a fan at Roo 05 when I first saw them, and I loved them for the past 2 years, but I started going to a lot of their shows since then, and kinda got burned out.
I don't really know what I'm saying here or why I'm going on, I just love to write about stuff like this, I really want to be a music journalist one day, but I'm a college dropout, I'm going back in January for graphic arts, and my grammar's never been that good, but I've always been good at art. I just love writing about music and Bonnaroo and I feel nobody will care if I write this kind of stuff on this message board.
And finally, all of the bands in my poll, should play Bonnaroo at some point. Maybe not all in one year, or next year, but let's say over the next 5 years or so, these could be possible headliners, they are pretty much some of the biggest names in music and have been for decades, so it's just a matter of Bonnaroo getting it done, which they will because Superfly and AC really know how to throw a hell of a party. Thanks for reading, please vote on my poll on myspace...

I'm hoping for My Morning Jacket to headline Friday or Sunday - hubby is hoping for Radiohead any night any time - think Bruce would be good headliner - at least he could fill the time slot and Patty would be a good addition also to a smaller guest stage spot - and Clarence (wow)

I did hear that the Pixies were working on releasing a new album...now whether it's new material of some kind of "best of" I'm not really sure. But I'm guessing it's probably some new stuff. I also read somewhere that Garfunkel wants to get back with Simon. This is just something I heard, so again, it's not something I know about 100%. My main concern about reunion's so far is basically Led Zeppelin. I'm watching out like a hawk for any news, I HAVE to see them at some point in my lifetime, and next year seems like I might have the best oppurtunity.

And I really don't care that it's not 100% pure Led Zeppelin. Having Jason Bonham fill in for his dad, well he's got it in his blood, so that's close enough for me.

Well Frank Black has said that Kim Deal is basically the reason the Pixies aren't making a new album: www.nme.com/news/31775.

Oh yeh, absolutely. He will probably only play Coachella though, if anything. All of his tour dates are west coast. But hey, its Bonnaroo--anything can happen.
My guess is : Friday: Radiohead Saturday: Rush Sunday: Robert Palmer and Allison Krause
R.E.M could be a player, but I don't know how bookable they are at this point in their career. Led Zeppelin is a possibility, but, I think unlikely. Iron Maiden is planning a 2008 tour, but, are they Bonnaroo material? Bands I would love to see at Bonnaroo include Muse, Dream Theater, Of Montreal, Keisier Chiefs, Marc Broussard, Amy Winehouse, Nightwish, etc.
