i hope the bands that headline next year actually play for more than an hour-and-a-half to two hours, what happened to the days of the 3-4 hour headlining slot?

Thats why either The Dead, or Allman Brothers need to headline. Im fine with the shorter shows on Friday/Saturday bcause there is always some other band that i could go see, but sunday they def should end it with a bang!

i'm really starting to think that bruce springsteen could/will headline, maybe its cause i was listening to his new album earlier, but i'm sure there's a good chance it could happen, and i think they'd be great, so i'm guessing its going to be:

^^lol lots of songs about cars, i only have born to run/born in the USA, never really listened to them too much unless i was with my aunt and uncle who adore him. Uncle has some crazy man crush on him or something. But i think he does/would put on a great show (ive only seen one springsteen's dvd) But that would be awesome, my aunt and uncle at bonnaroo would be one wild and crazy saturday night. I could live with that line up for sure. Seen Dave twice, and pj once, supposed to be twice but they never made up at Riverbend when it was rained out (still sour about that) and another time at U.S. Bank arena which RULED! all of this is in the queen city.

i hate living near cincinnati, about 5 minutes away, because it seems we don't get as many good artists that other cities get, i've actually heard that cincy is dave matthews least favorite place to place, riverbend sucks ass, they really need to change the layout of the roof there, but louisville's not too far, i've been driving to columbus and indy for about the past 5 years, i'm hoping to move to austin tx one day

Yea, Cincy is pretty lame when it comes to music, Although dave and tool both played this year. and mule is playing at madison theatre on the 27th. and i think biscuits are coming to bogarts? may have missed it..but your right we need a different venue. all it seems to be attracting these days is country music and warped tour. LAME

Hey is bowie planning a tour or anything? I started the Yay! Nay hoping he would, and hoping if he wasn't, it the poll would grow and someone would show it to him and he'd do a, as Zeppelin put it, 'One Off,' next year at Roo. A Bowie Roo show, that would get me there, no matter who else was playing. Here's to hoping... Ziggy in '08!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely. I would way rather see Bowie than Led Zeppelin (maybe thats just me, but still).
Friday: Radiohead or RATM or Smashing Pumpkins Saturday: Prince or The Cure (karma to who brought that up) (Bruce would be ok too) Sunday: DMB or Wilco
I would like to think some form of Jack White will be back at 'roo, but I'm doubting it for this year.
Late Nights: Brazilian Girls Gogol Bordello Daft Punk (pretty please for all 3)
Curious and a little off topic: has a female based group ever headlined?
We treat mishaps like sinking ships and I know that I don't want to be out to drift Well I can see it in your eyes like I taste your lips and They both tell me that we're better than this
"Confirming numerous rumors, Radiohead has inked a deal with ATO Records for the U.S. release of In Rainbows. The disc will be released domestically on January 2, 2008, just two days after the album hits stores in the UK on XL Recordings.
ATO Records was founded in 2000 by Dave Matthews, his longtime manager Coran Capshaw, Chris Tetzeli and Michael McDonald and is a division of RCA. Other artists on the label include Ben Kweller, Crowded House, Gomez, Gov't Mule, Mike Doughty, My Morning Jacket, North Mississippi Allstars and Patty Griffin. Capshaw is a major investor in Bonnaroo, a festival which Radiohead headlined in 2006.
Radiohead stunned the music industry by releasing In Rainbows online on October 10 and allowing fans to choose their own price. Last Friday the group also offered fans a peek into their studio, hosting a live in-studio concert which was streamed for free online."
If Capshaw likes to promote his own bands and is an invester in bonnaroo....... Looks like Radiohead

Good question. If my memory can be trusted, there have been NO female artists to headline Bonnaroo. In fact, the only women to take the stage with a headlining act have been special guests: Dottie Peoples and the People's Choice w/ Panic in 2003, Joan Osborne w/ The Dead (2003) and Phil Lesh (2006), Stevie Nicks w/ Petty. There were also likely women in the orchestra Trey had in 2004. Honestly, the only "female-based" I can think of off the top of my head that could realistically headline Bonnaroo is Bjork.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
OK, We are getting near the deadline of Thanksgiving. The person who guesses most correctly gets bragging rights and a free beer from me. The only entries considered will have three specific headliners(you can't say Dave Matthews it must be Dave and Friends or DMB) and a midnight saturday Which stage tie-breaker. No double posts no edited posts.

I really have no idea what the latenight shows will be like this year, not to say that I know or think I know what the day schedule will be like either, but I think guessing the latenight shows are harder. Anyways, mark me down as these being my final entries for this contest or whatever (that is my above post and this one). Okay here's my latenight guesses for the Which Stage:
From what I've heard... Vegoose was the last pyramid show for Daft Punk in the US. They want to change their show, and there's also rumors of them working on a new album. I don't think that we'll see Daft Punk back in the US for at least a year to a year and a half.
If you had a chance to check them out this summer (I was lucky to have seen them at Lolla and Vegoose), you know how bad ass their show is... Amazing.

Playing it a little conservative, not who I necessarily want, but who I think WILL be there.
Stallion, your pick are close to mine. The only difference is I have RATM and not Neil Young. My picks were pragmatic, not who I wanted but who I thought would be there.

my picks are based on album releases and any connections they could have to superfly, i debated on RATM and NIN for about an hour, then chose neither hah The only one that i really think doesnt have a chance is Oysterhead

i would be a very, very happy man if it was pearl jam, neil, and dave and friends
- i like pearl jam, grew up listening to them in my teens, as a lot of us did - i still have never seen them live, i passed on them last year to see peter frampton with the cincinnati symphony, which i would've rather gone to pearl jam, although frampton's cover of black hole sun that night was awesome
- i love neil young - more now than say 10-15 years ago, right now he's at the top of my favs with wilco and ryan adams, so i guess you could say i'm currently into this alt country/folk rock thing
- and dave has been one of my favorites for about the past 10 years - i've seen the dmb 22 times in 10 years, never seen dave and friends or dave and tim,
- not only would i love this, but it is very realistic, however, i don't think its as diverse as years past, but i'm okay with that,
bonuses:
- all 3 of these could/might play with each other - neil with pearl jam, eddie with neil, neil with dave, not sure about pearl jam/eddie with dave or vice versa, who knows, the possibilities are endless
- bring ben harper back this year, and you have one of my favorite bonnaroo lineups so far
so if this happens, i'm thinking maybe:
jack johnson>ben harper>pearl jam
?>my morning jacket>ryan adams>neil young
robert randolph>george clinton>allman brothers>dave and friends
