Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I am going to refer back to this thread after they announce the lineup. Just to make it more than bragging rights, I will buy a beer for the person who is closest to correct. I am going to say Thanksgiving is the cut-off for entries. Any later and the rumors start to get some truth to them with bands announcing their schedules and what-not. Good luck to all. There are some lineups I would really like to see.
Friday - Rage, or Muse, or Pearl Jam Saturday - Radiohead (again!), or Roger Waters (if he is even touring), pink floyd (lol...), Sunday - Widespread Panic, Phil & Friends, DMB/Dave/etc... (NO SOLO.), Allman Brothers
Late night possibilities:
STS9, Daft Punk, The Flaming Lips (Yup... that show was to awesome to not repeat), Allman Brothers, Dj Tietso, *insert more techno type stuff, hip-hop based stuff, or weird psyhadelic stuff like FLips*
Late Nights: Something Trey Daft Punk The Mars Volta moe. MF DOOM and Ghostface
everything there looks good except for mf doom. i read on another forum from one of the djs at his shows that lately he has been mia and sending other people to do his shows. the mask finally comes in handy i guess.

i hope it looks somewhat like this:
fri white stripes ben harper ryan adams
sat pearl jam neil young my morning jacket
sun dave matthews band and friends allman brothers band john butler trio
so other than PJ you don't want anyone new at roo in '08? I understand wanting favorites back, I'd love to see MMJ back at roo, but you must admit you have a lot of repeats in that list. I'm not knockin the list, just so you know...
I think this is the most likely set of headliners for 2008. Possibly sub in the allman Bros. or the Dead for Phil.
not only is it likely, id be totally satisfied with it. even with those subs. mabey throw trey in there somewhere.
for alot of other peoples answers, are you guessing what bands they will book, or just picking bands you wish were headlining, cuz thats what it seems like.
because of the direction bonnaroo has been going i really donthink your gunna see WSP back a second year in a row, and i raelly dont think they'll have radiohead back sooo soon.
and whats with all the springsteen? i dont get why bonnaroo would get him. he'd be cool and all, but what is he doing recently that suddenly shot him back into the spotlight.

well...I'm sure his new album coming out has something to do with it.

He and a full band including brass and backup singers tore the roof off of Jazzfest last year. I bet Superfly would continue to support him. Might be better as a one off at a Vegoose club show, though, simply for tempo's sake...

Is Superfly involved with producing NO Jazzfest proper? I thought they just handles some of the after hours club events?
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
It was my impression that Superfly got it's oats with Jazzfest. That was based largely on myth as I haven't researched it myself.
Although these days, with the involvement of LiveNation in the Roo, as well as other large corporate sponsorships, I guess the argument could be made that their invovement in Bonnaroo is somewhat divested as well. Perhaps ultimately, they will be mere landowners, leasing the festy grounds to the highest bidders ?!
(just a thought--all you bonnarooers 4 life-take a lude-not trying to start a war here!!!)

I think Yes has a huge chance at being the jammy headliner. They are touring for their 40th aniversary. Saw them during the 35th. They still kicked ass, and they played Close to the Edge!
Realisticly: Friday- Pearl Jam Saturday- DMB Sunday - The Dead (or some incarnation) Latenight Friday - MMJ Latenight Saturday - Primus
My Hopes: Friday - Pearl Jam Saturday - Led Zeppelin Sunday - Allman Brothers Friday Latenight - Yes (I was gonna say NIN, but that defies all logic) Saturday Latenight - The Mars Volta
