I dont know if i'd want to see him at bonnaroo, but i would definatly see him if he came near me. I think it was pretty cool that the pouring ran didnt really phase him at all, which i think a lot of stars of his size would be bothered by it.
i thought it was good too. but the watchtower tease into foo fighter should have just bee all along the watchtower. and im kinda drunk. but it looked like prince was playing to me. i think he could easily fill the tom petty/police type slot.
Dude, if Prince played I would straight up lose my sh!t.
Anyways, All Along shoulda just been All Along, but mann, that little guy can freaking shred! He could fill the time slot and would show a class yet unseen at Bonnaroo.

Just because he is short doesn't mean that the weather would bother him...if anything, it buys him a few extra seconds before the rain hits him...
just kidding...I know what you mean..just had a few newcastles and that struck me as funny.
Radiohead didn't lipsync, and they played their instruments. I would love to see Prince, but Roo is more about the music IMHO.
Dude, Prince didn't lipsinc. That little mofo still has them pipes, and he can still shred on guitar. He's intense man, an incredible showman AND musician.

Yeah, I didn't see the halftime show but I know for a fact that Prince can still sing and play (and not just guitar, mind you, but also keyboards and drums and other stuff) along with the best of 'em. I don't see what would be so bad about Prince at Bonnaroo.
I dare say that was the best Superbowl halftime show in recent memory -- definitely better than the Stones last yr. Playing Purple Rain in the rain was awesome....just not sure what was up w/ the covers medley. Foo fighters? I think he'd kill at Roo, but don't think it's likely.
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Looks like issac might've taken a karma beating in this thread too. I thought you were at 5 or 6 earlier, though I could be wrong. I exalted you anyway.
I'm glad some agree about Prince...or at least dont violently hate the idea.
I actually really like Prince, but the guitar was playing when he was not touching it, not a huge offense, i think that is more common than not, at least in stadium shows, but I prefer my roo more organic.

Actually that very well might be true, I do believe when huge money is backing an extremely popular live event they want all the assurance that nothing unexpected will happen, so perhaps they did cajole Prince into miming his way through the show. Supposedly that was Ashlee Simpson's excuse... supposedly.

Oh no, not so. You were only watching his right hand, there's a lot that a good guitarist can do with hammers and snaps on the left hand alone. If it wasn't live, why would they have used such a horrible mix? The performance was great but the rest of the band was inaudible.
I thought Prince played great, even though i didnt really get the foo fighters cover.. But overall i wouldnt argue with him playing Roo. The marching band with the blacklight strips and everything were great. with good lights i think he has potential to be a good late night show if he somehow didnt end up headlining.
i dont think id want him for a latenight. i doubt he would do that. im sure it would be a headliner. seems like he could fill the more mainstream headliner role. and he was sticking his right hand behind his back. but he was still playing with the left. i think he was showing off.
did anyone see the lgihtning bolts when he started????? it was timed too well to be nature, and bolts like that dont just happen once. and i dont know of anything that creates lightning like that. certainly not something they would use around that many people. i think it had to be put in with computers. did anyone else see it?
