Sigh...I'm not missing The Black Keys, they're one of my favorite bands and I'm gonna be in the pit for that whole set. Hopefully I can still manage to squeeze close enough to BS to properly enjoy the show.
I have tickets to see Black Keys in July, maybe I should just camp for BS.
My gf and I skipped Black Keys last year for the Flaming Lips set because we had tickets to see them later that summer... It was a phenomenal decision. Besides, the Keys are better in smaller venue IMHO.
exactly why i'm skipping deerhunter for sleigh bells. DO IT

Sleigh Bells will play a short set anyway, you'll be able to make your way over to Deerhunter after they finish around 40 minutes in.
Solid. This is the one act I hate missing the most, this year (along with Bootsy Collins... that's a supergroup of bass gods if I've ever seen one, holy shit).
Epic! Add "Expecting to Fly" and Replace "rockin int he freeworld" with a better solo Neil Young song (like Cortex, or anything off "Everybody Knows this is nowhere" or Long may you run, or after the goldrush"), and we have ourselves a perfect setlist.

Crowded doesn't necessarily mean more people. Florence is in a tent, so it's possible people will be more packed in for her show than Buffalo Springfield's.

^ may be we will get a few surprises on the set list.
I am not so sure my son will like the idea of camping out for BS but I think he will have quite a story to tell his friends later in life. As a bonus he may have enough time to learn the cursedlono dialect.
That said, Buffalo Springfield's current set -- the one they'll perform at Bonnaroo next weekend -- sticks strictly to the band's popular back catalog, save for a cover of group member Neil Young's 'Rockin' in the Free World' as their encore. It's a back catalog taken from just three albums which, by the way, Furay says will be rereleased on vinyl soon.
"We're not trying to recreate or make anything different than we are," Furay told Spinner in a press conference for Bonnaroo on Friday. "We are Buffalo Springfield. We're not 'Neil Young and Buffalo Springfield'; we're not 'Stephen Stills and Buffalo Springfield' ... This is who we were and we're just privileged to be here today and to be able to make the same music today as what's in people's hearts and minds."

I've never listened to BS much. I know their popular stuff, but am diggin' the music. Here's a great youtube mess of songs from BS. I'm a huge CSNY fan and think this stuff is great!
"Bonnaroo is the most significant festival in the country," Richie Furay.
great article, I do hope they ad expecting to fly to the set list. Though it sounds like that they'll be performing the same one through their tour. Who knows, maybe they'll pull out something special for roo!
