under normal circumstances i would say probably he would, but this year he has a super-crazy-awesome lightshow set-up that should dictate that his set follow a predetermined structure.

I don't think he will, maybe for an encore which he usually does, but nothing significant, like John said, he sets are predetermined along with the light show
I've seen him twice. First time was at a club here in Nashville and he played for well over 3 hours. Second time was at Coachella and he had maybe an hour or so...with his new light rig. However, I'd say there's a good chance he goes well past 4am

I would think so too, all joking aside. He is the only DJ playing a major venue, and he won't have to leave to accommodate another set. I wouldn't be surprised if he went until dawn honestly.

Like Schmee pointed out, on his earlier tours he pretty regularly played 3 hour sets. But, with that said, I'm not sure if his new light set up will hinder that at all. I have a feeling he had the visuals made with that in mind though, the ability to expand on the show if he wanted.

I hope he sticks to his alotted time. I want to be able to leave to see tDB rage til dawn and if he plays longer, I may be too entranced with the light show to leave.

I am a bit of a Deadmau5 nut and have seen him 7 times since Ultra 2008. I haven't seen the new light rig, but I would bet he doesn't exceed his scheduled time. The new LED cube was built by the Daft Punk pyramid guys and everything is planned out so I would doubt it is any different than his set at Coachella.

I don't see how the new lighting effects, planning wise, are any different than his last tour he was doing in late fall/early winter. Yes, they are wrapped around a cube, but otherwise they are pretty much just plain patterns that a lighting guy has to cue up whenever he hears certain sound clues. His last tour had a similar set up, but had it on a flat screen rather than a cube. I doubt it will hold him back much at all.

his facebook status reads: "deadmau5: now i know why i only go 2 Vegas once a year ro so.... i am completely ruined... christ those were looooong ass sets! ... still hurting thanks again Vanity / Wet Republic!
So there is DEFINITELY a chance he gives it his all at Roo, the crowd just has to be rockin, which I'm sure it will be!!

i've seen him multiple times, and yes, he'll def. do long 3+ hour sets, but this new festival lightshow set-up is way more advanced than anything he's ever done.
i really think that his set will be pre-planned, and the length is very likely to be either the 1.5 hours that roo is alloting him, or perhaps 2 hours or so. i obviously would be totally down with him spinning till 6 or whenever, but i think bisco is going to be the only tent act doing that.

Deadmau5 is a house DJ; I'm sure he has experience improvising and playing longer than allotted. However, I think Bisco will be playing late, and Bonnaroo typically only has one artist per night doing that. Deadmau5 may play a little late, but Bisco will rule the sunrise.

Am I crazy or did the Deadmau5 set time change? I thought he had a 2 hour set when the schedule was first released now he's only scheduled from 2:15 to 3:45. I WANT MORE!!!!!

Uh just so you know, this is going to suck. I'm going to stop by for at least 15 minutes just to marvel at the awesome visual production but he's a really bad DJ. Everyone on the coachella board that just saw him at sasquatch all agreed that he was terrible. Just a heads up.
If you want good EDM head to the Lunar Stage or even Bassnectar is much better than Deadmau5.

False. Mau5 owns face.
Please tell me what about this could possibly suck?? Unless you weren't into it to begin with...
