I'm one of those people who also has to say... They have a damn good lineup.
But... if Roo got the Gorillaz & Them Crooked Vultures (which is so unlikely), then I'd guess Bonnaroo will stomp Chella's lineup into the ground.
Edit: I'm starting to change my mind. More and more I look at this lineup, less and less impressed I am. Bonnaroo will definitely stomp Coachella's lineup into the ground.

Coachella has been down the past couple of years. That said, it just owned Bonnaroo for 2010. The truth hurts. But hey, Waka's lineup blows, so there's hope.
They usually only share about 10 or so acts. If I had to pick a handful I'd hope that we'd get, it'd be: Jay-Z Gorillaz Pavement Thom Yorke LCD Soundsystem Fever Ray La Roux Baroness Hot Chip Major Lazer Flying Lotus Yo La Tengo Deerhunter King Khan & The Shrines Little Boots Rusko

I wasn't very impressed by the lineup initially because the headliners are generally lacking for me personally but they made some good bookings as far as current artists are concerned. Also this lineup has robust depth like I've never seen before, though there are two problems inherent with depth...1. Likelihood of conflicts & 2. Odds are I'll be able to see many of the undercard acts on their own tours/at a closer festival. Still if the bonnaroo lineup should blow (wouldn't count on it) & someone I know out west is also interested I may repeat the trip.

I think it's a great line-up, as you can see from my Bonnaroo wishlist they have some of my most wanted acts: Muse, Mew, Avett Brothers, Ra Ra Riot, and LCD Soundsystem...
Some acts I'd steal from their line-up in a heartbeat: Hot Chip, Old Crow, Portugal. the Man, Phoenix, Julian Casablancas, Mutemath, Matt & Kim, and Little Boots.
Not seeing Silversun Pickups and Blitzen Trapper on the Coachella line-up means I'm still hopeful for them for Roo!
ARRGH! This suspense is killing me. I need the Roo line-up NOW so I can get on with my life!

If you relace Lucero ,a little lower, for Gorillaz, I agree with you 100%.

The lineup is incredible guys seriously. Rare shows mixed with an absolutely killer under-card.
Someone said earlier that the lower tier of the lineup looks sparse, I think this has something to do with the way the poster is made, splitting up the days. If it was all together it would be overwhelming.
Bonnaroo better have it's check book out and loose...
People are impressed by this? Really? I think it is an extremely weak undercard and a surprisingly weak headlining class.
agreed
Considering the musical diversity of BOTH festivals, I think this depends on your personal leanings. I personally don't think this lineup is outrageously good (it is good, don't get me wrong). I have friends that would cream their pants for this lineup though. To each his or her own...

they do have an awesome electronic line-up deadmau5, bassnectar, hot chip, Guetta, Benassi, pretty lights, infected mushroom, glitch mob, rusko... (tiesto left out of this list intentionally) I hope roo has some more top notch electro this year. I wouldn't mind seein any of these guys there.
Also, am I the only one who'd love to see some gary numan at roo?

anyone think this could turn into Radiohead bumping Gorillaz out of the headlining spot?
oh and i like this lineup better than last years Coachella lineup.
Nope... Thom Yorke just did a BBC DJ session a couple hours ago and he basically said that the appearance in April (this BBC things was previously recorded and played today so he couldn't say Coachella) would be with the group he's been working with (Flea, Nigel, etc..) He also said that there would be some other dates/appearances, I forgot what he said exactly (might want to ehad over to atease) but what I got out of it is that there are more dates.
I think this also bodes well for hopes of Arcade Fire, Soundgarden, Daft Punk. If they are playing fests these acts would not play both. Here's hoping
agreed completely. If either daft punk or AF are playing i'm headed back to the farm.
That being said I saw deadmau5 blow minds here in Philly and I've been a huge Radiohead fan forever so Coachella would be amazing. I guess I have to wait and see if Bonnaroo 1 ups.
While I would like to say that we COULD still get some of those headliners, we prolly won't. I haven't really seen headliners crossover the two festies that often. Les Claypool sounds like an ok bet to me. Maybe Dead Weather, Hot Chip and MGMT.
Claypool and Dead Weather sure. Coach can keep MGMT, forever IMO. I blew of some of moe. to see their set last year. Can you say disappointing?
I mean really, after playing Kids and having the crowd on the verge of a collective orgasm, who says, "We're gonna leave you on a mellow note. This is a new one we've never played before..."
Amateurs.
they did this at All Points West too, and that song, did not go over well to say the least.
++ for Dead Weather and PRIMUS (haven't we gotten enough of just Claypool over the last few years? I need a little Hamburger Train in my life)
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
