Claypool and Dead Weather sure. Coach can keep MGMT, forever IMO. I blew of some of moe. to see their set last year. Can you say disappointing?
I mean really, after playing Kids and having the crowd on the verge of a collective orgasm, who says, "We're gonna leave you on a mellow note. This is a new one we've never played before..."
Amateurs.
they did this at All Points West too, and that song, did not go over well to say the least.
++ for Dead Weather and PRIMUS (haven't we gotten enough of just Claypool over the last few years? I need a little Hamburger Train in my life)
Really hate that I missed these guys last year. Maybe they will "graduate" from Thursday and hit up a midday tent on Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
I thought they put on one hell of a show, even if the sound board seemed a bit off. They are touring again, so they might be in your area. I know they will be here in Gainesville, in march.
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!

Color me unimpressed with the Coachella lineup. Most of the bolded names have already been on the festival circuit the past year or two. The only two really unique acts I see are Grace Jones (!) and Sly, but I'm guessing one of those two sets won't actually come to fruition.
PIL, FNM and Pavement reunions are a big deal, but I'm sure they'll all be playing other fests this year.
Sometimes I feel like Coachella gets all the reuniting credit just because they're the first big fest of the calendar year...you know, when most reunited bands are going to start touring anyway.

At the risk of sounding like a total jerkstore, I went to five festivals last year (SXSW, Roo, Pitchfork, Lolla, and ACL) and 70+ club shows...I think I listen to plenty of music Maybe that's why the lineup doesn't look that special to me...seen most of it already.
Of the rest...
Never seen and would love to: Sly (but will he even show?) Grace Jones Pavement (already headlining Pitchfork, so I'll see them there) Faith No More (will probably be at Lolla or Roo) Jay-Z (Roo? )
Never seen, mildly interested: Charlotte Gainsbourg Gary Numan Jonsi Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros The Specials PIL Gorillaz
I do hope that Roo gets a couple crossover acts, Pavement and FNM especially.
-When I Hear My Name -Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground -Blue Orchid -Passive Manipulation -Red Rain -Death Letter -My Doorbell -Hotel Yorba -Same Boy You've Always Known -Lovesick -Little Ghost -We're Going to Be Friends -The Hardest Button to Button -Black Math -The Nurse -I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself
Encore: -Ball and Biscuit -Seven Nation Army -Screwdriver
Don't be a smurf . I like a lot more than just jambands, I don't care which festival is better, and I don't like Coachella's lineup.
i'm just saying if you're not impressed with that lineup, most likely you haven't heard most of it and just need to listen to more music.
Like I said, don't be a dick . You don't know what people have heard, and I'm sure nobody here needs your advice about how much music to listen to. It's possible to say you like a lineup without being an asshole .

you're an exception then. you have gone the other way with it. you see too much. but if even you have seen half of that lineup it's still great.
lulz. Do you know what trolling is? obviously yes. this place was dead for months and months and i woke it up brah. kys
Yes, you, RothandRoo are the reason this board woke up. Not the Rooclues, Bonnaroo twitter, incoming lineup, but instead you, the great jester who is currently "wookin out somewhere", have woken this board up.
Them Crooked Vultures Vampire Weekend The Avett Brothers The Dead Weather Muse Major Lazer OCMS Les Claypool DJ Lance Rock Thom Yorke??? Julian Casablancas Gorillaz Yo La Tengo
I've never really liked the Coach lineup until this year, but I still have faith in Bonnaroo. I would bet the overall experience of Bonnaroo would still be better than Coachella, no matter what.
Would like to see a lot of Coachella acts at Roo this year but I will only name 15
