Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Yeah, this was a rumor that seemed a bit fishy. I'm sure their idea was to plug him into that Dr. John late night slot from last year. I have to wonder how the rumor started. Maybe Superfly approached him about it on his short tour of Tennessee and Kentucky last year...
AC Entertainment did produce/promotes some of his shows in the southeast last summer...apparently it took an on-going relationship with radiohead to get them into last year's line-up. tom waits isn't anywhere near out of the picture. (hopefully)
well its starting to look like pearl jam is going to be in poland roo weekend. so maybe we can put this "leak" to rest for good. although its been obvious for a while that its completely fake.
^^It's funny. How many years running would this be that PJ rumors grow to a fever pitch only to be proven fraudulent? Even looking at last year's tour schedule, there's this big gap around Bonnaroo that led to the speculation. I'm wondering if there's just an issue of sealing the deal...
well im positive that the pearl jammers will carry on the torch they arent phased by anything. the addition rumors will fly. poland is just like treys show on saturday afternoon! they will be the super jam man!! and then after roo they will be playing vegoose. its fun to watch. and i hope to see pj open for neil young at roo some year. keep the dream alive!!!!!!!

i would love to see David Bowie as well. PJ doesnt excite me much and Dylan is of no interest to me. on the other hand, if THE POLICE play Roo then it doesn't matter who else is there it would be worth it for me.

I think Bowie would be amazing, and relatively unexpected (and prolly unlikely as well)......Picture this, Bonnaroo 2007 Headliners: Dylan, Bowie, & The Police...holy hell, you would need to buy tickets day of, no later, regardless of the other bands.

there hasnt been a headliner on thursday. but im hoping that grace potter is a thursday band. grace in the toubab krewe slot and sci in a latenight and im a happy camper
I was reading an article about a possible Police reunion at the Roo and at the end of article it said we would just have to wait for the official announcement jan 31st. Could that be a reasonable time? How far in advance do they usually give of the official line up ?

I know but my thought was, if they are announcing the fest as a four day event, y not have a headliner on thursday?
The way I see it, the main reason is that not everyone has arrived by Thursday night, and to shell out the major bucks for a headlining act is probably not something Superfly wants to go for a smaller crowd. I believe they began saying "four-day festival" just to boast all the music and activities they are already shelling out for on Thursday, and that nothing significant will change. It may also have something to do with Coachella expanding to three days, perhaps.
And yes, the 31st is a totally reasonable day to expect the lineup-- so much so that most of us here are banking on it.
I think having half a dozen desireable bands is better than the single headliner... it also means less infrastructure ready that early in terms of planning (they bank on that main stage area not needing support until late Friday).
My favorite Thursday night was 2005-- ALO was a perfect opener!
If Bowie is there this year, and if I'm not at Bonnaroo for some reason, it would be because I died or something. Seriously, how amazing would it be to see "Width Of A Circle?"
