It's fake. You can see how the person who made it pieced together a plausible list, using acts from other festivals like Wakarusa and Langerado, confirmations/rumors for Coachella, and of course the same for Bonnaroo. Whoever made it was very clever, but not clever enough.
edit: Oh yeah, and since they've obviously been keeping close track of all the info on all the fests, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they have been lurking around Inforoo... perhaps even reading this. If you are... a pox on thee!
Why would superfly tell the manchester times anything? why would they tell anyone in the city of manchester anything for that matter? I don't take this leak too seriously. Which is good for me, because I was not too excited with it. Sure there are some great artists on that list (at least half of which will probably be there), but right now to me Wakarusa's line-up looks better. Also, I don't see Bob Dylan headlining. He didn't the last time he was at the roo, I don't see why he would now. Either way I'm going to Langerado in March to get my Trey/Widespread fix. I wouldn't mind seeing something different at Bonnaroo. This list just isn't it.
Didn't someone awhile back say that on the 19th of January the Manchester City Council had a meeting or something regarding Bonnaroo where they would be told of bands?

I agree a skeptical attitude should be taken (sort of), but it's plausible the times would know. Every lineup leak I've seen in the past is through newspapers, not through sources, but through the ads promotions has to place with newspapers a week in advance. However, it's hard for me to see Superfly placing an ad with the Manchester Times two weeks before print.
Keller is gonna play with the band again? I kinda liked his one man show schtick but I have never seen the band live so if thats goin down, cool but as long as K-Dub himself is playing Im happy. If this whole list is true then this will be a roo to remember

Manchester Chamber of Commerce meeting.
There was no mention of Bonnaroo. Our May meeting (2nd week of) is when The PR guy comes and talks to us about roo.
Even then, he has never talked about what bands are playing. I have been the past three years and he hasn't said anything, I doubt he will this year.
the one thing that assures me this is fake is Bob Dylan headlining, not gonna happen.
I think it's been said time times before, but Beck was rumored to be headlining when the news leaked last year. And the news leaked around the time of this leak and was 100% accurate. Not saying that this leak is, but the time is neigh for them to announce and either they've seemed to do a pretty damn good job of keeping things under wraps compared to last year.

Here's another issue: where are people getting the idea that the lineup will be released in a couple weeks? I mean, ASIDE from this alleged leak. I'd hope that we won't pass into February without an artist lineup, but I know of no evidence of this to be the case. Furthermore, many people are pointing to the 31st at the announcement date, yet that's what they're saying for themselves over at the Coachella boards, too. And I am quite sure that those two fests will make sure they are not making their announcements on the same day.

I saw Dillion in '04 at 'roo and his set was alright. Just happy to have seen him play live was the best thing. if he did headline he would need a lot of guest appearances
My bad, I did forget about that news article. Although to be fair, that's no guarantee. I'm still skeptical since we've had no pre-announcement yet.
And I'm sorry also for coming off negatively. I just feel strongly about the idea that some jerk is playing a prank and that people in my community-- people I respect-- might be getting pulled into it. I'd hate to see people get their hopes up because of this. I want to look out for fellow 'roosters.

I'd love to see Neil again either with CSN (which can definitly go 3 to 4 hours) or with Crazyhorse doing both electric & acoustic material. And if the PJ rumors do pan out we could get a blinding scorched earth version of 'Rockin the Free World'.
Anybody know if Neil gets along with Bob Dylan? A collab of those two would be the stuff of legend.

They have been friends for many years. Dylan has performed at Neil's Bridge School Benefit and Neil performed at Dylan's 30Th Annv concert. I agree a collaboration between the 2 would be great.
And if the PJ rumors do pan out we could get a blinding scorched earth version of 'Rockin the Free World'.
When I saw PJ on the '04 Vote for Change tour in Toledo, Neil came out on stage and played a bunch of songs with them. They ended the show with, of course, RITFW.
It was absolutely awe-inspiring, and probably my favorite concert moment ever. If they did this again at Bonnaroo, I have no doubt it would be even better.
Neil Young and Pearl Jam at the same festival would be incredible, even if neither spent a moment with the other on stage. However, you know if they were both there you couldn't keep 'em away from one another. A shared headlining spot would be sweet, with classics from both. Give them four hours, five hours, whatever. Just get them up there and let them rock out. Even better would be both getting full spots, with PJ playing as Neil's backing band.

i can't even wait, i just keep thinking about either dylan and young, or pearl jam and young, either way, wow, this show will be awesome, i have a feeling something like this will happen
Personally, while I would love for both Pearl Jam and Neil Young to be there and to jam together, I would be thrilled if I never heard them perform Rockin' in the Free World together anymore. They've been performing it for about 15 years now and I think it's time to pick a new song to perform together.

PJ actually WAS Young's band on 1995's "Mirror Ball"... a completely underrated album. Think like a NY/PJ garage rock album. Very stripped down, straightforward rock. The songs from this album have been very rarely played by either outfit, providing more magical possibilities for 'Roo 07.
