Ward, Cold War Kids, and Girl Talk. Superfly Productions plans to officially announce the lineup on January 31st.
I can only hope this is true... I'd love to see The Police. It would be the only time I would ever consider camping out in front of the main stage all day just to get a good spot for their set.
I saw the Police and Blondie on the same bill in 1976 (or 77?) at the Roundhouse in Camden Town (London). If true, this would beat my record for widest spread between gigs (current leader - New Order 1981 to 2005).

If I were going to lie make up a line up I would put almost all thoes bands just mentioned on it! I mean, Grizz bear, man man, hot chip, ryan adams, THE POLICE!! HELLS YEA!! i'd go on but i'd just be repeating the list, but if even HALF of thoes bands show up at Bonnaroo I will flip... Truth or no.... I am stupid excited about roo07!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I dunno. I could go either way. It would be a fantastic lineup, but that it's only on Wikipedia brings down my belief a lot. Should it not be true, then bravo to the creator. It is really unique, and some of the band mentions (like America) are so out of left field that it gives me a ray of hope. A lack of SCI would be pretty dissapointing.
Also, regarding America, they have a new album coming out and Ryan Adams, Ben Kweller, the guy from Fountains of Wayne and Jim James all participated...
Yeah, I know, but I still wouldn't think most people are aware of ttheir getting back on the road. I'd probably go see them if they were there - but didn't one of the three convert to Christianity and leave the band?
At risk of gathering much bad Karma, I am glad thisleaked lineup has a lack of contrived jam bands and maybe instead room for some more new stuff. Dont get me wrong I can do the Dead dance with the best of them and at over 40 have gone to countless Dead shows. Memo... the Dead is gone and Phish is gone and Trey and Phil arent even a band really.. I just dont get that excited about Trey or Phil or Micky or who ever is re convening themselves in some way to make everyone happy. Frankly the music isnt that good when they just join in. Now if you want to jam with moe or um or sci, they should all be there. Trey and whoever shows up doesnt get me that excited. Especially as a headliner. I would even support a jamband stage.
Okay now I will go back into my hole and be smythed.
Normally Trey would be a dissapointment compared to Phish, but I've heard only very good things about his current tour, so his playing Roo would excite me.
Anyways, further thought on the most recent leak. IF the Police were signed to play, they would have to make an announcement of their reunion before the Bonnaroo lineup was posted. Without proof of any other shows other than the Roo show, then fans all over America (and the world) would be buying tickets to Bonnaroo just for the Police. This wouldn't be a catastrophy, but the festival would sell out much quicker, could have significantly higher ticket prices, etc. etc.
As far as I am aware, the Manchester Times has never gotten early word of the line up. The fact that this "source" is supposedly close to the Manchester Times only makes believe even more that it is fake.
The Manchester Times is a small, hick town, local newspaper that only publishes on Mon, Wed, and Sat. They have no affiliation with Superfly or AC, why in the world would they get an early line up leak, especially considering that they have never gotten them before.

those of us who have waited for the line-up announcement year after year know to take these "leaked" line-up's with a grain of salt. However this line-up does seem very plausible and the fact it doesn't have nirvana or soundgarden makes me that mush happier........If this line-up is true i will do the toyota leap!!!
