Kinda stoked to be able to catch every NOFX set. Only one big conflict each day: Offspring vs Circle Jerks Hives vs Armed NOFX vs Sublime
Not terrible overall. Some abysmal set lengths, but they were probably planning on going to 11 each night. Also interested where they set up Rise/Radical this year...
95% negative comments for the Bridgeview announcement. 95% negative comments for the Douglass Park announcement. Social media is cool
So you're saying that they could have avoided negative feedback if they didn't throw tantrums and kept it in the same place as usual from the very start?
A bold take, but I think you might be onto something.

If I'd go:
Fri: Cypress Hill > Public Enemy > The Marley Brothers Wouldn't go a full day but this would be fun enough to do.
Sat: Brutus > Buzzcocks > Rival Sons > The Hives > Manchester Orchestra > Spoon > Waxahatchee > Beck Pretty full and fun day, might be good for a 1 day ticket
Sun: Would not consider. Rob Zombie > Slayer would be amazing, but the rest of the day is not my thing.
Trying to load Spoon tickets for an XRT presale and literally the captcha will not load. Come on. Edit: it worked after opening it in an incognito tab lol.
ELI5 2manydjs? In my head they are one of those acts that play Coachella that people get hyped about. But when I google them, Soulwax pops up?
Also worth noting 2manydjs have a live show that involves them playing animated videos accompanying whatever songs they play. I’m going to guess their Concord show is a DJ set but their Smartbar DJ set from a couple years ago was a highlight. At both live shows and DJ sets they’ll play a couple of Soulwax remixes, which Soulwax for obvious reasons do not do live as a band.
Spoon tickets were a little too much since I just saw them at the Riv a couple of years ago, that'll be a good one though I saw them at Metro for their Lolla aftershow and that was dope. I'll definitely try for a St Vincent ticket tomorrow haven't seen her the past couple of tours. I imagine I can wait on 2manydjs for a little bit but I'd like to see them too

Piggybacking on what others have said, 2manydjs is comprised of the Dewaele Brothers, best known for their work in Soulwax.
When it's just the two of them without their backing band, they perform as 2manydjs. While one of them mixes the music, the other provides the visuals. It's an incredibly simple yet impressive and sometimes amusing visual effect of modifying the album cover of the artist that is being played.
They'll do a nice mix of playing some of their remixes, some Soulwax songs, and just plain fun songs to dance to.
Here's a video to get an idea of what the visuals of their show look like.
I got an Airbnb about a 20 minute walk to Douglas Park off South Albany. Anyone know how that area is?
Seems like somewhere we went was on Kedzie. We stayed like 4 miles away from there and it was fine. I don’t think I would have walked back at night but we did during the day.
