Despite living in a moderate sized city, it is pretty easy to cross the street whem I run/walk in neighborhoods and on trails. I can usually stay 20 feet away from people let alone 6 feet.
I could see how this is a huge problem in NYC and other dense areas.
Yea, we live on a main road and our suburb is very densely populated (suburbs here are not like suburbs in the US, they're still basically the city. It's like Brooklyn to Manhattan). So crossing the street to stay away from people is a bit difficult when I'm out. Most of the time there is just no way to do that just to avoid every passing person, which then would be a problem on the other side of the street anyways. Even the parks and various walking trails here are starting to have issues of being overpopulated bc we just don't have yards and stuff in this area. Unless you have like allll the money. haha.
I think the best solution is to either move my dining room table and do yoga in the dining room, or move some patio furniture and do it on the balcony. Then maybe work some sit ups / pushups / squats in... thanks for the recs beebee, i will check those out.
If anyone has any at home workout videos on YT they use that require no weights or anything I'm open to any and all suggestions!

some equipment is required to do everything in the routine, like pullups or dips, but you can improvise a lot of the exercises based on items around the house (for example, you can do rows under a dining room table).
even if you can't do everything in the routine it could give you ideas for specific exercises.
SIX years ago I bought a close friend a birthday card. It wasn't yet his birthday, but I thought he would like it because it fit his style of humor. Well, I ended up forgetting about it each year, until this year. Today's his birthday, so I finally rummage through some storage to grab this long-forgotten birthday card:
Outside: “In my day, we didn’t need Facebook or Twitter.” Inside: “because we all had cholera. That was the news, and we didn’t need social networking to tell us that.”
Never again in my life will I deliver such a timely and relevant birthday card. It was well worth the six-year wait.

I thought I read it's going out in order of income though, so basically those that make more money will be waiting longer. Not that it shouldn't be that way, but I'm still not expecting my deposit for a while.
I wonder when the cut off on when you're supposed to file your taxes is to get the benefit? I filed mine the day after they passed it. If it goes off 2018's tax return I'm pretty SOL since I took a decent pay cut in 19.

If you’re a high earner and generally have to pay additional taxes at the end of the year then yes it’ll be a little longer. But everyone who gets a refund via direct deposit should be next week or shortly thereafter.
I'm taking your word on it. I had seen a few articles saying the 9th but the week of the 13th makes more sense.
Folks who get direct deposit on their tax refunds should get stimulus checks deposited end of next week.
Is there anything in the works in terms of additional payments/stimulus coming at some point? Are people who were laid off getting more/extra?
I'm one of the lucky ones in that I'm still able to work and am earning my regular hours but I'm concerned about the amount of people I know or have read about being worried about bills, rent, and that this won't cover them for very long.

They’re working on a fourth bill now
Good. Hopefully they can help all that need it out but i'm not too optimistic just yet. If things continue as they are I'd be fine and don't need a stimulus check but it's crazy to see what people are getting here when compared to other countries.
I didn’t qualify for unemployment because one of my jobs didn’t let me go even though my job is technically not legally allowed to happen. And because I’m my dependent of my parents I didn’t get the stimulus. Just paid my utilities bill on an apartment I’m not even using lol. Ya boi is hurting

Yeah, my cousin is living in France. Her work hours and pay have been cut back to 75%, but the French government is making up another 20% of her salary, so she’s still getting 95% of her regular pay at the end of the day.
This is honestly a big bummer. So because I owed taxes in 2018, I have to wait months for a paper check? So lame
It shouldn’t be months. They’re setting up a portal for folks like you to put in your AGI, SSN and bank account number. I think I heard two weeks for that, then figure another week or so to process after that.
If you haven’t filed for 2019 and you don’t think you’ll owe, you should try to do that. That’ll be the fastest solution.
The way the payment processing works the IRS needs to store bank account information to send you refunds, but since they don’t need it to receive payments they don’t retain bank account info for those people.
I appreciate the advice on the portal they're setting up. I'm for sure owing taxes again this year. I set up my taxes to where I get less taken out every paycheck but end up owing money each year. This year will be especially larger amount owed because my fiancé and I won a diamond engagement ring in a scavenger hunt contest put on by a local jewelry store. I'll be paying a fat check to Uncle Sam on that one

In some more positive news, per Dr. Fauci US estimates have dropped from between 100k-200k to 60k for deaths and the peak deaths is predicted to be April 11th, all probably due to social distancing and quarantines.
So, to get out of the house and get some exercise in I've been going on like 3 mile long runs/walks every other day or so. It's been good for me to get some movement in my day and also just get out of the house even just for 45mins or so. But with the below study, I'm not sure it's the safest way to get myself moving and active.
So my question to you guys, especially those of you in smaller spaces where you don't have a backyard or anywhere inside to exercise, how have you been staying active and not letting yourself just completely succumb to watching Netflix all day? We don't have any work out equipment in our apartment and I have no where I could bust out the yoga mat inside. But I can't just waste away on the couch all day.

Just like my earlier post about my cousin sharing something....always be a bit wary of medium.com. There are certainly good and valid posts using medium.com but it's essentially just a blog site anyone can post on.

It’s great he’s making this donation. I don’t want to downplay that. But Twitter is still a toilet, and it’s at least partially because he doesn’t want to alienate the Nazis who make up such a large portion of his user base.

American Airlines changed the itinerary for one of the weddings I was going to this summer, and since it's going from non-stop to having connections it's covered under their refund policy so I'll be able to get my money back with no hassle. Very, very grateful.

Unsuccessful calls to the NY Department of Labor today in an effort to complete my unemployment claim: 118.
Days I've tried to file: 22.
I know the system is getting hammered, but it's starting to feel like I'm in a Samuel Beckett play.
Holy crap. I've had a couple of my team members do it from work (their hours were reduced, not laid off) and they had to try a few times but nothing like that. My dad retired from an upper level position with them. I'll see if he has any tips for the best way to get this resolved.
You've already done the online stuff and you're just trying to complete the phone interview to complete the process?
Edit: looks like ITM has you covered. If you need help in the future, please don't hesitate to message me.

16,691 dead Americans. Thanks Mr. President. Thanks Fox Bullshit News.
On a couple of personal notes, report from a major local hospital I got today said the number of people in ICU have been diminishing. Deaths follow infection, so we still have a long way to go and are likely to lose close to 1,000 innocent Louisiana lives to go along with the tens of thousands of others. One of the ladies who works for me (she’s remote) hit me up today to tell me her mom (a long time friend of mine) was rushed to the hospital unable to breathe. She’s a heavy smoker with COPD so I’m a little worried about her.
