How does the NCAA punish someone that is going pro?
Well, yes, I assume he is going pro. Some also assume he quit on his team to avoid injury, though maybe it was a legit pulled hammy, I have no idea. The NCAA has punished schools plenty of times for player shenanigans that were not sanctioned by the team. The question that may be asked now is who had control over that booth and who gave Peppers access. Who knows, just something we were talking about while watching the game and UFC, probably nothing.
I can't believe these guys are skipping bowl games because they're scared to play. I always hear guys talking about going to "battle" with their brothers, and this bowl season is the opposite. Maybe Peppers was hurt, but at least a couple of others guys weren't.
Wow, I think it is clear, the Russians hacked OSU and gave the playbook to Clemson. It is like OSU offensive is the practice squad for Clemson. Besides the 2 INT, Clemson looks good. OSU is going to need something to happen in the 3rd.

Ouch. I thought OSU and Clemson were a toss up as far as deciding who was #2 and who was #3 because I thought the matchup was really close. Not was I was hoping for, or expecting. Thanks a lot, Putin.
Please let 2017 be the year that Ohio State doesn't get ridiculously over-ranked in the preseason polls...I'm embarrassed for them.
Bad finish but they were ranked exactly where they should have been all year. Florida State and LSU are the ones that always seem to be over-ranked, then prove it with a bad loss, and sometimes Notre Dame.

I expected a battle. Did not expect that total domination.

You'll never convince me OSU deserved to be there. I'm a believer that conference championships mean something and Penn State should have gone to that game instead. Of course, I also think the bowl system is outdated and should be abandoned, we need a 16 team playoff, and I'm a UGA fan so what do I know...

You'll never convince me that OSU wasn't one of the 4 best teams in the country in 2016.
Do you want 16 conference champions playing a whole ton of games? If not all of them are conference champs, then how do you pick the 16? I like playoffs, in theory, but I don't know how you can expand it much for football. They would have to shorten the regular season, which has already grown to be too long. And no Notre Dame in the playoffs, ever, would be fine with me.
Any subjective ranking system or voting system will always be imperfect and open to controversy, I guess. The current system beats the old BCS at least.

As always, Hail to Pitt.
Thanks for beating us. Apparently it made us better.
Evans shocked the VT fan-base this evening. We all expected Ford and Hodges to declare...but Evans doesn't have much of a shot to be selected in the first 4 rounds. We did have a lot of momentum going into next season, so much for that.
A lot of rumors that Zaire is considering transferring in. He seems like he would be an ideal fit for Fuente's offense. If not, QB battle between two freshman's.

Good news. I thought going to VT next year was going to be something to worry about. Now not so much.

Sang is the only thing keeping me from cheering for Clemson in the title game. Well, him and Boulware.
Just try to keep in mind how happy custeph would be.
That is the only thing keeping me from cheering for Alabama just because losing to Bama again would ruin his day. I'm leaning undecided right now aside from wanting a competitive game.
They increase with your post count. Long ago, we used to have a karma system that was tied directly to people up or down voting you. I opted out of it though because down votes made me sad.

Steph's happiness outweighs Sang's tears, imo.
That and rooting for Bama to make Sang unhappy sounds a lot like people voting for Trump to make liberals pissed off.
Oh wow, that was crazy to hear Musburger get heated about his bad Joe Mixon take. I guess the Twitter reaction was bad enough for a producer to say something.
Anyone on the fence on who to pull for... Pull for Alabama. It's been a long time since we've won. More than 350+ days, or 8000+ hours. Players haven't won a title in so long, they need your support. For the low cost of a simple "Roll Tide", you can give these players the confidence and support they truly deserve.
