Food countinued..;
Eggs - 6 dozens, or a dozen boxes of yokes/whites? A big batch of scrambled unless someone would like to setup an omelette station ? Would be a lot of pre-prep and time-consuming, possibly frustrating flipping all those ommyz.
Produce - oranges/grapefruits/apples, few fruit plates ?
Salad: gigantiCo kale salad, Mr PatOirish has offered to bring one. Anyone like to bring another ?
Liquid Funtime/Booze: we are going to try and bring in the max liquor allowance, but space is limited. Jess and I will whip up a healthy batch of Sangria for brunching.
Sounds like there are number of Bloody Mary mixologists who will serving up some of those, and we have some iced tea on !site! Offered by sararawwr and Sydney.
Great, the Sangria sounds good. I'll also have a table that we can likely use during the brunch timeframe- we've also got a decent amount of plastic cubs we can bring if you would like although they are clear and not red solo cups. Finding someone to volunteer as our chef will be key and I don't think I'm skilled enough for that.
jfu222 do you have any breakfast specialties you can make?
What time and what day is this again? I suggest we start a little earlier around 10:30ish because there are some good shows at 12 on both days.

I can bring in a grill and table though I do feel like it's best to prepare as much food ahead of time as possible. I'm going to see about cooking a bunch of bacon, vac sealing it freezing it then wrapping it in foil and heating it back up that way to reduce trouble.
Hypervelmers and I will bring a decent amount of fruit though it will probably be of the carbonated-from-dryice variety.
So VIP brunch is more of a planned meal thing? As opposed to the regular GA brunch is kind of a bring whatever you want free for all? (This is my first year doing VIP)
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

It's our first time attending Roo, let alone VIP, but there was a requirement for someone to help organize the VIP brunch and we ended being nominated haha. It's going to be a very casual affair, eezy breezy, free for all!

There's no absolutely no pressure to attend or bring anything, no worries, just a munch and mingle. I can't say for sure if I'll even be conscious that morning, considering we plan on thoroughly enjoying Disclosure and Die Antwoord!!

We would love to bring all the fixings for some traditional poutine, but we are not allowed bringing any food across the border. Still trying to figure out how we will end up smuggling in the maple syrup.
Agreed - I guess our brunch would be Saturday which at that point we're all going to need some rest. Some good food and drinks would be nice but if we don't get enough people to say "ill bring something" then we don't have to have it? Like @bennyandjess said no need or pressure to commit to anything I guess we are just checking for interest and trying to get a little bit organized.
We'll see how the next week goes and if we get enough interest - if not, then maybe we'll all bring a specialist drink that morning and share those. BennyandJess on the Sangria, I could do a Margarita, etc.

Sounds ideal! Absolutely no obligation to attend or bring anything, just smiles and merriment!
Don't want to discourage anyone from coming by being official or anything, I just want get to the farm already and party with y'all!

I'm excited to be apart of it and hope something comes together. At the very least, the bring a drink idea is rich. If that ultimately becomes the option, I'll provide the 190 proof watermelon

Better to leave the cooking to others ...trust me ;-) ...unless you want cereal in which case i am a master chef.
How about I be the coffee guy?
I can bring a few bags of ground coffee and just keep rocking that throughout to keep the caffeine flowing?
2-3 bags of starbucks ground I have a little stove I want to try out anyway ..charges your phone! www.biolitestove.com/products/campstove/ 1 -2 containers of powdered creamer Box of sugar
I mean why wouldn't we nominate a first time Roo attendee, who is Canadian for that matter, to organize this brunch! If I know Canadien's bennyandthejess will have drank more than all of us combined by Saturday morning so let's hope he is still in good enough shape to attend.

I hear the Canadians are well versed in bacon though ..so with that in mind it all makes sense to me.
Well until I am told otherwise, I will plan to be the coffee person!

Damn rights ! Been meaning to tell you that you've been elected Camp Barista!!

I instantly thought of appointing you as the official Camp Sparklefart barista, back when you mentioned you would be bringing the Kona beenz!! Haha
Canucks definitely have a rep for heavily enjoying beer in all of it's many varieties, however, this touque lover has to be watchful of how much and how quickly I consume. I'm planning on trying to pace it out during the day.
This will be quite and endurance test for me, want to enjoy all of amazing entertainment and not be wasted in a sweaty lump under a table somewhere.

Smart move. I'm also careful about my intake of whatever it is at Roo because for me music is the #1 priority. If I ever was too F'd up or to hungover to see some shows I would really regret it. Although - as much as I drink at Roo, and it's usually beer, I never feel all that drunk.
It's a long weekend and you always see people just HAMMERED on all types of stuff when you arrive at like 5pm Thursday. I'm sure they regret it by the next morning.
