Ha. I think that would be fun. But we aren't real life friends YET. Actually I'm pretty sure he doesn't even live here. Because from talking to him we both frequent all of the same places, and I've never seen him.
Maybe I'll talk my sister into camping. I love it when there are two Bonnies in the same place.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

So, Vermont works for everyone? Also, it appears that virgin freefest Is the same weekend, do we want to move the date up to the following weekend? I know a lot of you guys go to freefest. I'm so happy there's so much interest in this!
Personally I'm going to see Rush on Sept. 7th and Bruce Springsteen on Sept. 21st. I'd prefer Sept. 13-14, but if I miss a Friday night then c'est la vie.

I'm good for Vermont and for pushing the date if necessary!
Only thing I'd mention is that the temperatures start to drop precipitously in VT as it gets later in September... I don't mind camping when its in the 40s at night but I figured I'd mention it. Here's the average Sept highs/lows for Mt Snow for reference:

wow i am just seeing this post for the first time. i think i will be joining you guys if you will have me. kinda upset i didn't chat enough with all you inforooers at the brunch or during the fest, i was in my own lil world, although i did try to find the inforoo RV camp but i couldnt seem to locate it. VT is a bit far for me even though i live in long island, only for the sole purpose that driving there and back will take up most of the day each way and i have work obligations. if you do something in NY or CT (preferably closer to the south end so i can just take a ferry in) i will be in 1000% percent, anywhere else i would need full details before i can commit to anything.
I'll keep looking around at campsites in connecticut but for now southern VT seems the best bet for a nice private camping trip. Please if anyone knows another campground please speak up!
I found a place in CT that allows alcohol and is in the woods! It's more north in CT than Rocky Neck, but only by about an hour or two. It allows reservations until Columbus day also, so as long as this works for everyone, I am going to say we found a winner.
Right now for the weekends of both 7/8 and 14/15 have places open, and i'm looking at sites 10/11/12/13 right now to reserve, as they are adjoining. I figure it's a max of 6 people per campsite, and multiple tents can fit in each. If we have more people, it's a small campground, and they can reserve a non-adjoining site and just walk on over to the group to hangout.

Right now we're going with the one in the post title. If freefest ends up being that weekend and the line up is good we could move it up to the next one.
I have a friend who lives in Barkhamsted and it really is gorgeous there. Ski Sundown is nearby so it does get pretty hilly. His yard is about a 30o pitch on the side of the mountain.

The campground itself doesn;t appear too bad, in terms of slope. Are you and Fawn considering an appearance?
