Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Man oh man am I ever getting pumped for this. Today I took off to Manchester with the three loveliest ladies on Inforoo, Popsiclesarah, JHoinTN, and Druid. We cruised around the farm to see how everything was going, new setups, and to snap a few more pictures. Along the way we found a store that is out of business that will be perfect for our meetup point.
Southern Family Markets is the place
Sign as viewed from the road
Here is a shot of the building
Driving southbound on HWY 41/Hillsboro Blvd this will be on your right. It is right next to the Coffee County Bank
Here is a shot of the sign as standing in our meeting lot
Notice the address on top of the sign is 2070. If you are using a GPS use 2070 Hillsboro Blvd, Manchester TN 37355 Notice the thermometer on the sign too. Hydrate before you get here
Here is a mapquest link to look at, the pin is at 2070 Hillsboro Blvd mapq.st/igHt9w
Speaking of maps, many have asked me about getting off the interstate in Manchester. Last year I had the VIP hang tag and was able to get through the police barricade in Manchester, not where the directions say to get off. This may be the case for all, or I may have gotten lucky. Coming from Nashville I will get off at exit 97, left at the top of the ramp, road dead ends into HWY 41, head right/south on 41 and this takes you right in. I can't offer any advice about folks coming from Chattanooga or anywhere south east.
In our lot facing left (where I will be coming from) there is a Ford dealership and a Family Video on the same side of the road
Podunk rundown hotel that is across the street to the left
And a big lot and a blue warehouse across the street to the right
I will be in a red 98 GMC Sierra (1500) with a topper on the back. I will hopefully set up an EZ up too in the lot.
I have called all those I have numbers for and left a message with everyone. Please let me know if you haven't received a call. The exceptions are: Azzah - Calls to Canada are expensive for me, I thought my phone had an international plan, but I don't Mattseven/Matt Wolf: I txted the iPad number you gave but have not heard back CKS - you are taking a shuttle Druid, JHo, Sarah - you were there today too, don't be silly Bunny - you are meeting us and driving from my house, my house so you don't really have a choice ;D
If anyone else is missed on this, please let me know. This was also a check to make sure I have the right phone number for ya.
Now, this is the final check for names and cars. If something is off, I need to know (just number of cars, a total inforooster people count isn't relevant to the plan and for those four days, we are all one).
The Official Log Of Mike D's Official Camp Inforoo VIP 2011's Official Members . . . . YEAH!!!
VIP RV's - I have had this smiley for way too long and finally get to use it
campcrew iSkew & Sassbox & Bamabelle pigpen
The quiet group (by quiet I am referring to those who specifically said they will not be raging all night and want to get to sleep a little earlier, not volume levels)
Dreamingtree - 2 cars JHo - 1 car ktmtfl - 1 car Druid - 1 car cneintn - 1 car crazykittensmile - (shuttle) Azzah - parking car with us, but pitching a tent (giggedy giggedy) in GA, this will be a buffer spot for CKS to use first as she will have no car, but want to be in that section. Anyone else shuttling in may need a little bit of this, but we will see.
Anyone else requesting the Quiet Kidz Korner, lemme know by Monday night please.
I have all of us in our groups of 7-8 cars. I am not gonna say em cause they still may change. I will explain further once we get there but there will be an assigned lead car for each group. This way we have 5 smaller groups who all have each others phone nunbers, not one big one. Once we get through the tollbooths we will make sure we are in numerical order, according to Mike D's homemade windshield tags
In response to those who asked me if I need anything for my efforts, yes I do. I talked to pshanley11 and he is flying in and taking an early shuttle. He doesn't want to hassle with a cooler since he has the meal plan. He needs a few folks to help out with drinks. Sarah and I are getting him a case of water to keep in our cooler. If anyone else knows they have room for Gatorade, juice, anything else, shoot him a message and see if he needs anything. He doesn't drink alcohol, but has requested non-alcoholic beer - any volunteers?
Nametags for us on Thursday? I honestly don't think I have time to get em and make em. What do yall think? If someone steps up you get to see my list
Any other questions, concerns, comments, complaints, or conundrums?
this post has been brought to you by Inforoos newest celebrity couple - PIXIESTYX (matching outfits, both have our tour shirts on)
Can't wait to see everyone, Mike D and the Lovely Popsicle Sarah
EDIT: I will be having to officially close signups for our camp Tuesday June 7th at noon Central time. I have a fair amount of stuff to print out that needs to be 100% finalized. If someone happens to show up though I will have a few extra copy's of everything so you won't be told no or turned away.
Also, don't forget that Bonnaroo is on central time!!
Hey Mike thanks so much, I prematurely sent a post out there without reading your whole post up above but all is well think I might be getting covered. Also, only if you have the time, perhaps shoot me a quick PM re: quiet kids if it's not too late, peace, Thank You!! Patrick aka Shanman/ Shan
We have plenty of water for ya. We bought 2) 35 packs and 1) 24 pack so your water and beer are taken care of. We will get you taken care of, sharing is caring and inforoo is a very caring community. We will make room for ya in the quieter section of camp too
im going to miss the hell out of you guys this year. please rage it up for me proper. drinks in hand by noon on thursday and there better be mimosas on friday morning!
^ We're gonna miss all of you! Idio, KatyMae, MusicGroz - it won't be the same without y'all! Hey, we'll send you postcards, if you'll send me your addresses...either PM or FB! Don't worry - there will be PLENTY of pics, so it'll feel like you're there with us. (for full effect, just turn off your A/C and don't shower all weekend!)
Ron and I are OVERWHELMED with y'alls generosity! We like to be the ones taking care of others so this is a bit foreign to us, and coming to Roo with hardly any gear is SCARY (super duper crazy scary). But thank you all again, and we do have a few surprises in store for our Inforoo camp mates. We aren't leaving our southern hospitality in Portland.

See y'all in OMGWTFBBQ!!!! LESS THAN 48 HOURS!
Shenanipants.
I'm making a grocery store run tomorrow. Shout if you guys need anything in that area.

OMG?!? You're bringing us single girls a few hipster Rose City bachelors who are pining for some good ol' southern lovin' at the world's most amazing music festival? Oooh, now that would be a FANTASTIC surprise!
I won't be camping with you all, but I do plan on stopping by the Inforoo Camp to introduce myself. This board - and the people on it - have been supremely helpful to me in the past.
On the road now. Left yesterday morning. We are near the TN line in Bristol,Va and are seeing tons of Rooers on the road. I think I may explode from the excitement!

We won VIP's off of Jack FM so will try to stop by the inforoo camp. Are you guys flying the rooster flag like the one in camp only?
I asked this question on another thread and curious if anyone on this thread could possibly answer it for me. Our VIP's are from Stubhub and I read somewhere else that Stubhub ticket holders will be able to talk to a bonnarro representative about being able to see a show in the photopit/side stage. Is this true and are there any other Stubhub inforoosters on here that could give some clarification?
This will be my 5th roo, my wife's 3rd and first time ever going VIP. I am definitely stoked to witness bonnaroo from the privliged perspective of VIP.
"That's the big thing about education. People can be book smart, but not really intelligent about anything else. A lot of times they just taking in all this information and regurgitate it. It's much more important to process it and personalize it. To apply it to your world, to your life. You have to walk the walk, or you can't really report about it honestly."
Okay, now it is over I feel I need to say something. I started this thread and then I became MIA in VIP. WTF!!? Well, do to my own mismanagement of $$, I basically gambled away my VIP tickets. This is a demon that has been on my back for a while, the gambling/poker demon. In direct relation with the QSARS and how I screwed myself out of VIP, I have faced this demon head on and have been admitting my addiction to friends and family and now here in a public forum. I no long visit poker rooms, go to the casino or have any interest to play on-line(not that I ever did play on-line). Gambling addiction? Yes, I have a gambling addiction and it fucked me out of a good time in VIP. I ended up in camped in BFE and it sucked! but it is nobody's fault but my own. Thank you to the ones that already know about this and did not talk about it. I was able to find someone to take over my VIP payments and from what I have read they were well accepted into Camp Inforoo VIP and hopefully had a blast! Just for the record, even though I was in BFE, I still had a great fucking time at Roo!
We missed you in VIP Scrog but it takes a strong person to admit their addictions. I hope everything works out for you in the end. As someone who comes from a family of gambling addicts and have seen the worst of the worst I can appreciate the struggle.
^ I'm so glad I got to spend some time with y'all again this year! Can't wait for your housewarming party so I can meet Rufus!
To all the other "Hill-dwelling yuppies" (as SuperFurryAnimal jokingly called us!), I had one helluva time being with all of you. Some of you I already knew; some I still have no idea who you are...but one thing is certain: you were great neighbors & I love all of ya! Now I'm already looking forward to next year!
Thanks to everyone in the group for an awesome weekend. When it comes time next year and we are getting everything organized, lets try to remember that we can contact Bonnaroo Site Operations and get a reserved block of spaces for our group in the VIP campground.
Thanks everyone for an awesome weekend and for making our 1st Roo a great one! Can't wait to see y'all next year! We had fantastic neighbors and a great weekend (even though it was sad watching our neighborhood disappear on Sunday morning).

Thank you everyone for making our first Roo experience absolutely amazing! I could go on for days about the incredible hospitality, conversation, sharing and overall vibe we experienced in just our little portion of camp. We look forward to seeing you all next year and meeting those of you we did not get a chance to hang out with this year. We have a cruise booked next October in a penthouse with a butler, but when I asked Rebecca if we could do only one vacation, which one would it be? She immediately answered "Roo VIP", and I wholeheartedly agree. See you next year!
For those of you who may have spoken to us but don't remember our names, we are Stacey and Rebecca with the Red PT Cruiser, pink and white curtains on our EZ up, and the hammock with the shade cover.
EDIT: Looks like the wife beat me to posting. Crafty one she is.
