Man, so strange we haven't gotten our info yet. Last year, they sent it all out a week before the Roo (June 5th). I know it says up to 48 hours before the event, but kind of surprising for those who are trying to plan!

wow...that kind of sucks...can't pick them up until 10 am on thursday...wow...well i guess i can't complain to much...i mean, i am getting in for free...
That is a lot later than it has been in years past...I'm almost sure it has been 7 or 8 am on Thur at the latest .....that's going to cause some backups on Thur morning for sure!
My site will be there! Thanks for all the extra info guys. Does anyone know anything about "guest list" parking? My site's PR guy got in on the guest list and said he was told he'd have a special parking pass that he wouldn't need since he's camping and could hand off to me, but I have no idea where this would be located. Would this be in a special entrance where the artists, Roo staff, and such would be entering? If anyone's familiar with this, let me know! Hopefully he'll get more info about that.
Bonnaroo is just a week away, so we hope you are getting excited and ready for an incredible weekend! Attached are directions to our off site will call location to pick up your credentials. Please note this is at the offices of WFTZ radio in Manchester, not the main entrance in to Bonnaroo. Your staff will be on our Press list, and they will need to show photo ID to pick up the tickets.
WFTZ Will Call opens on Thursday morning, operating on the following hours:
Thursday Jun 11 - 10 AM - 11 PM Friday June 12 - 7 AM - 11 PM Saturday June 13 - 7 AM - 6 PM Sunday Jun 14 - 7 AM - 6 PM
Your media passes grant you access to Bonnaroo for all four days, along with access to the backstage restaurant and lounge, and the press tent with a wireless signal and daily press conferences with artists.
Thanks for your coverage of Bonnaroo, and have a great time!
so what do the directions look like? is this the radio bonnaroo station? is it close to roo/easy to find from express way?
The radio station is right off 55 on one of the main roads in Manchester (can't remember the name but know it when I see it....it's the same road that WalMart, Food Lion etc are on...it's the MAIN red light in town...right before you get to the interstate overpass on 55) You turn RIGHT off 55 onto this Rd and the Radio Station is about 2-3 blocks down on the left...there is virtually NO parking at the radio station....a FEW spots behind the building (keep in mind you are in DOWNTOWN Manchester at this point...an old small southern downtown with just parallel parking in front of street front office buildings)....so it will be a free for all trying to find parking near the radio station to pick up the passes and the radio station is a SMALL place....esp the front reception area.....and it isn't marked all that well so if you haven't been there before you will probably pass it at least once before you find it. But they move you through pretty quickly if everything is in order and you are on their list so it isn't too bad......it's just the parking and getting back into the traffic flow to get INTO the festie that is the headache...esp during those prime hours now....oooy! I do NOT look forward to that!

how do you get to 55? i'm coming from kentucky so of course it'll be 75 to 24, right? all i remember about the traffic situation in the past was we were on 24 and basically just stumbled into the big line...i don't even recall seeing a walmart anywhere...

If you're going 24 south, the easiest way to get into town while missing the line is probably to take the exit onto Murfreesboro Highway/US-41. That will take you right by the radio station at 1025 Hillsboro Rd. It's a completely generic looking brick building next to a pet store. You'll have to turn on Polk to park.
The email that was posted sounded like it was sent out to a press organization that put in for a number of press passes....I could be wrong but it sounded like it was more of a corporate type thing and it would make sense that they would handle those differently than the individual/smaller press requests.....I would expect we will get our emails anytime now.....and that they get those bigger/larger/corporate type ones processed first.
Just a guess though without knowing any details ??? ;D

well... there is "guest parking" and then there is "guest camping parking"
guest camping parking means that you can drive your vehicle into the guest camping site, which is located in the corner between cinema tent and Which stage.
guest parking, i think is like a day guest parking lot, where you park and walk into the fest. i am not 100% sure, but i believe this is sort of behind the main stage area. to get into that area, you go through the KOA and then on to a dirt road. before you pass the fence into the backstage production area, there are some parking areas to your right. i think that is the guest day parking.
Got my email a few ago...they are starting to go out....pickup at Fantasy radio station same hours as posted above.....press orientation at 11:30 am on Friday same as always.....

NOW I'm excited!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D
So we have to wait until 10 a.m. for you to pick up your press pass????
Yep....looks that way.... Though if things move as slowly as they have in years past I would recommend you guys dropping me off at the station, getting in line and I'll just wait at the radio station and WALK and find you in line when I get finished! LOL! I don't think you'll be IN the festie by then!

Ah, indeed. A sigh of relief as the email was in my inbox this afternoon. I'm sure now that info has gone out, there will be no more changes. My guess is changes applied to smaller media outlets (podcasts, blogs, web-only, etc).
I'll be returning to cover the festival for my fourth year. Would anyone like to try and meet up at the festival? It would be great to meet other people from this community. I'd suggest after orientation on Friday.

rob
or you could come to the Inforoo Brunch and meet a bunch of people and all walk over to orientation together
Good idea. Looks like a lot of people are going to be at the brunch. Any ideas on connecting there?
Hmm - I know a few of the Inforoo mods have passes - I think Moe Train will be there - I know Bamabelle will be there and she has a pass - I am sure there are a few others also
Friday - 10:00 a.m. Camp Inforoo in tent only is the place to be
