I dunno why but I was just kind of wandering what a lot of you roorers do? I'm currently going to school pursuing a degree in applied mathematics and I work at a hardware store to pay the bills and make it to the ROO. What do you do?

I work at a movie theater as an usher and as a projectionist. I am also a mathematical science major at the University of Cincinnati and aspire to be an actuary when I graduate.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
I am a librarian at a public library. I see insanely crazy things everyday. Working at a public library is a far from boring job.
what's the craziest thing you've ever seen? i must know. maybe even a top 5, if you have time...
oh and i'm a professional paper shuffler... my official title is "pricing administrator" i work at a company that makes lots of sports stuff (lanyards, jewelry, free giveaways, junk... etc) for the NFL, MLB, NBA, hockey, college etc etc.... it has nothing to do with my college degree and i generally don't like the people i work for, but i love the people i work with
i'm exploring the option of going back to school to become a nurse so i can do something i feel matters at the end of the day and is more suited to my personality. wish me luck

A good friend of mine works at the public library, and constantly has stories, usually involving homeless and/or crazy people. I remember one involved a woman who locked herself in the bathroom, sat on the sink and bathed her feet in the toilet. But I'd still be interested in a top 5 from you.
On another note, haven't there already been like three other threads dedicated to this topic?

Yup there are - but they are all pretty old threads and there would be lots to wade through and posts from a bunch of people that are not around much anymore
I am in my 4th year at LSU, trying to get my degree in French with a concentration in International Business. That is me by day....
By night, I am a slave to Sullivan's Steakhouse, waiting tables at their beckoning call. I often times hate my job but can't quit because the money is too good. Oh well, that's life for ya
I'm voluntarily unemployed/retired/house husband - call it what you will. While I have a MS in Chem Engr and a PE license in Env Engr I choose to stay home and take care of my wife (an RN.) We just live cheap.
I do a lot of volunteering for homeless shelters, tutoring at-risk kids, environmental organizations and sometimes politics; and whatever else I care about at any given time.
No, like vids you get shown when you're starting a new job, vids that come with equipment ( I just did a shoot for John Deere showing how to install optional equipment on one of their new combines). Stuff like that.

I sit at a desk and design parts and draw blueprints for aircraft fluid lines and fittings. i.e. hydraulic and fuel lines. I am not an engineer, nor do I intend to be, but I still do alot of design work on parts that go on planes. Its Technical and sometimes interesting, but pays decent for my age. I still plan on getting a bachelors in something, I just havent been able to pass calculus 2 nor want to try anymore.
I have a degree in Anthropology and I am a few credits away from my Masters in Thanatology.....and I work in a bookstore for minimum wage lol
Wow. I looked up Thanatology. Wow. What do you do for a career with that? I'm serious. It sounds very interesting.
A lot of people choose to become a grief counselor. I am leaning towards becoming a Hospice chaplain, you know, helping people spiritually before they die and then helping their families.
The field is growing rapidly so I might look into teaching a little later on in my career. And I kinda want to do my own research on how society views death, and how that influences art, music, and movies, which in turn influences how people view death... haha it's a never ending pattern but it is all very pertinent to how we as a whole treat those who are dying.
It's rough sometimes, but I know it's what I should be doing, nothing has ever felt more right. Even when I think I am getting burnt out just by the classes I just gotta see the bigger picture.
I'm in school as a Marketing major, I'm double majoring in Management as well.
I work at Old Navy all week long.
I used to work at Gap Kids, carrying out the ever-so-pivotal role of store bitch. They're owned by the same corporation, so I'm probably quite familiar with all the BS they put you through.

That's really awesome! Thanks for sharing and I hope it works out for you.
