LoL jeez I shouldn't take H&M for granted anymore then... I have 3 all with in 10 minutes of me
I'm trying to hold off on shopping for Roo clothes untill it gets a little closer just because I'm the type of person who will buy stuff way in advance, then play with the clothes in her room and then when the time comes for the event I'm over all the clothes already.

I need to come up with a good bag or something to carry at roo. I really wish I could not carry anything with me so I wouldn't have to worry about it, but since I need water and I want my camera that won't work. I have the bag that you can just barely see at the top of this picture...
(yay for free stuff from Oprah! haha)
I was thinking of using that one this year because it's a weird plasticky material that would be waterproof, but then I realized that since the top is open...not so waterproof! I really want something that I can jump in the fountain with or not have to worry about if it rains. Last year my friend and I could not figure out what to do with our stuff when we wanted to jump in the fountain; we didn't want to just set it down somewhere.

haha, yeah. but you're on LI! so thats why! i used to frequent the one in Roosevelt Field Mall, love it.
It's technically made for snowboarding so it has this little zip compartment on the shoulder strap to put your tube away so it doesn't freeze. The top pocket in the back is also made for an mp3 player and has a little port for your earphones. There's also a badass graphic on the back of mine.
Anywho, I got it for less than $25 from cabelas.com It was in the bargain cave. Not sure if it's still in stock. It holds 70oz and it looks like it has ample storage. I got it in the light color because I figure it will be better in the heat.

I wanna know how you got free stuff from Oprah! I'm the BIGGEST Oprah fanatic.
Becca: I'm probably going to bring wellies in addition to flip-flops in case of hard rain.
On the subject of camelbaks: I was wanting to get one of the ones made for women, but do they have enough room for other stuff (snacks, sunscreen, spray bottle, etc) without making you fall backwards? And do they make any women's styles with a bungee for holding onto a blanket for sitting? Because that was a big seller for me when I saw a picture of a different Camelbak.
Oh and: Do they ever make you empty your Camelbak? I've heard that they sometimes do, and that would sorta defeat the purpose. Also, what water did you put in the bladder? Pouring in bottles of water sounds kinda silly but I don't want to use the stinky water station water.

you'll really just need to go and look around at REI or Academy, or some sporting good/camping store of some sort. its hard to tell what you will like over another. i'm sure there are some with bungees, but it all varies on the model type.
i'm looking at the MULE right now. its a boys size, but knowing me, i will take more than i need(i hate not being prepared) and i need the extra room. that, and i tend to like the colors better in the men's. i'm not a pink person

i had to empty mine once, but it always depends on who is working whatever gate you're going through. as for the water station water...it didn't seem stinky to me, and it was always very cold. and this is coming from someone who brushed her teeth with bottled water when i first moved away to college...the water was AWFUL
Nothing said it was for women (last year I got it as a bargain on Campmor), but I found it very comfortable. It held everything I needed (cell phone, camera, TP and such, gum, lip balm, money, ID, Bonnaroo book, granola bar or two).
I usually entered Centeroo with an almost-empty bladder because I did not find any issue with the water from the stations - especially through a tube, there was no smell or taste.

Haha...every year she does a giveaway thing for a bag like that full of goodies. I forget how many were given out, I think it was the first 1000 people that signed up or something.
i fit a lot of stuff in mine with the bladder full. There are two zipper pockets on the pack (one bigger, one smaller) and i fit a spray bottle fan, sunscreen, small blanket, camera, keys, cell phone, map, snacks, lighter n such, and id. its a not to heavy walking around, and as you drink it gets lighter. i always fill my full before going into centeroo so i don't have to buy drinks(i'm not a big beer drinker so i like having water). i usually fill it with bottled water i rather know what i am drinking in bonnaroo conditions. Usually we freeze most of our water bottles and keep them in 5 day cooler, they lasted 3 days last year and it was great having cold water. If you want to use the water stations i would recommend getting crystal light "to go", or powder Gatorade to make it taste better. One year we used 3 water bottles and one propel to give it flavor. i have never had to pour mine out, but i usually hold my pack while they search it so they don't realize how heavy it is.
Alie, thank you for the link! I really like that it has the bungee. The website says it holds 2 liters, which is about 4 16 oz water bottles, does that sound about right to you?
Jennaroo, so your Camelback bladder only held three bottles of water? That doesn't seem like enough for a long hot day in Centeroo...
Is anyone tie-dyeing sheets for Roo to use as shade or blankets? I want to tie-dye hearts... I did it like 3 years ago and it turned out great, I hope I can replicate it!

haha...i totally am!! well, they're really for my everyday use, but i'm sure i'll be bringing them to roo. i already have the pillowcases done, and they look pretty sweet. i have all the stuff to do it, but the weather hasn't been great here, and its not something i'll do inside

Oh man, that sounds like such a great idea! I was thinking that it would be good to have something like that that we could sit on, use for shade, whatever and sheets would be perfectly lightweight and inexpensive! Plus tie-dyeing is so fun. I used to do it every year when I was younger and I haven't done it in so long...I'm excited now! Thanks for the idea!

i got sheets to tie dye at a 3yr old's birthday party. i ended up spending $100 bucks on them seeing as how either way i'd be sleeping on them, and i wanted them to be soft ;D
a sheet was one of the best things i brought to roo last year!
so i went to EMS to check out the camelbaks and the selection was really poor. I think I'm gonna go ahead and order from campmor. The one I'm looking at is $20 less than at ems.com or rei.com.

Check Amazon, last year when I got my MULE they were the cheapest.

Yes, I have two Camelbaks, a MULE and a much smaller one ( a LOBO I think). The small one is good for hikes and stuff but the MULE is perfect for fests. In addition to plenty of internal space it has some outside clips and straps which are perfect for carrying my blanket I use for sitting on. That keeps all the other stuff from getting muddy.
And you can hide 500 of the bracelet glowsticks in the bottom of it and get through security with them

I actually think Broadway Mall or The Source Mall has the best selection of stuff in H&M, even though Roosevelt Feild is huge

i woudlnt be surprised. i think roosevelt field is overpriced, but i used to live in uniondale so it was a 10 minute busride away and very doable for me and my at-the-time 14 year old friends. when i move back, ill probably go to broadway so i can get some free stuffs from the target, a friend of mine works there.
ah, the source mall. i was really really upset when they took down the rainforest cafe
