Have any of you ladies found that being a girl at Bonnaroo somehow means you get to carry EVERYBODY'S stuff? I guess it happens everywhere...when you're carrying a purse, every guy with you is like "oh, can I throw my wallet/keys/whatever in there?" but at Bonnaroo when people have more stuff it's like "can I throw a change of clothes, three water bottles, my camera and my cell phone in there?" I ended up carrying so much stuff around that wasn't even mine. Oh well.

i usually dont mind, but if im gunna be sweaty and hot and enjoying everything going on around me, im going to refuse. boys have pockets and hands too!
I actually had my brother-in-law carry my blanket - I got one of those waterproof-backed ones that was large enough for three people to sit on and in the morning when it was nicely folded, it fit in my bag. But then when we were gathering stuff up after each show and didn't feel like properly folding it, it wouldn't fit so it went in his backpack.
last year i had my bf carry all my stuff in his backpack and he told me that he wasnt gonna let me do it this year so i had to bring my own! haha. the backpack was pretty heavy with all my crap in it though!

If I had money to waste I would definitely buy a camelbak or something so my friend and I could switch back and forth who was carrying it. It could end up being just the two of us this year so that would work well, but I'm not mean enough to make him carry my purse around...haha.
haha, i felt kinda bad afterwards. I would have carried the backpack part of the time but he never even said anything while we were there. Last night he was like, "we could have stayed in centeroo all weekend with the crap you packed" LOL

Yea I wish I was taught how to use a sewing machine. I only know how to hand sew

I wish my sewing machine WORKED. I got a new one for Christmas in 2006 and...it sews backwards. Haha. So I guess I need to find someplace that can turn something around in it to fix it for me, but in the meantime I am sewing-machine-less and can't do anything, which sucks because I really want to make some stuff for roo.

I am gonna put some pics up but the computer wont read the digi pic disk. As soon as it works I will though. Some of the skirt have the hankerchief bottom, most are made of the gauze cotton. I plan on making skirts out of patchwork, maybe with the tiers of different stuff. My mom sews alot so I got a great teacher. My pants are my favorite thing so far--they are really bright patchwork and kinda baggy and they roll up and button to capris

That is so cool! My grandmother nor Mother use a sewing machine but ,I was taught how to crochet lol. I may eventually buy a machine and a take a class or something. I'm so excited next month I'm going to take cake decorating classes (something I want to do as a side career along with wedding/event planning)

i'd love to buy a skirt. just remember that not all of us girls are a single digit size, though. sometimes its hard to find hand-made clothes that fit the child bearing hips

so i want to wear this headband to 'roo...what do you girls think?? i think it's just about the cutest thing ever (but extremely girly!) i was thinking it might work a little like the reflective tarps everyone is raving about for on top of your tent. do you think it will be hotter or help me cool off?
p.s.-it's from freepeople.com if anyone is interested in purchasing one!
ps. karma to you sleepyrobin when i get chance. freepeople.com totally has the cutest stuff ever! wish it wasn't so expensive otherwise i'd buy up everything

So cute! Just becareful how you wear it b/c you might get some crazy tan lines!
Alessia - you could crotchet a skirt to wear at night!
LoL, I don't know if I'm that talented!... but Karma for the optimism ;D I have made clutch purses by crocheting though!
(P.S.-- Crocheting is probably the weirdest spelt word every)
It IS a weird word! My mom tried to teach me a few years ago, but had a hard time with me. I bought a book because I like to mess up on my own without anyone else watching me, but then never did anything with it.
