...whoa, whoa, whoa. Do you not know who Scottie Pippen is? Top 50 player ever, HOFer, 6-time champion, just not Jordan. That's what Bubs is. No one on that show has success without Bubs being a part of it.
And the speech he gives that Dave's snapshot is from is probably the best monologue in the show.
of course i know who scottie pippen is, i wasn't born under a rock.
i'm on the end of season 3 and bubbles is still annoying, so he has two seasons and some change to sway me.
I dislike MMJ, not Prince. I am more indifferent to Prince, which is why I would rather listen to his set from VIP camping and be ready for LN. For whatever reason, MMJ has never clicked for me, and I really tried to like them.

Non-music confession: seeing "could care less" used way more often than the correct phrase drives be bonkers.
If you could care less, it means that you presently do care somewhat. If you couldn't care less it means you do not care at all, so it is impossible to care less.
Ok, since I am shocked at the Prince, Beatles, etc comments I guess it is the confessions thread. Here is my music one and I know flack might come from it if anyone cares ...
Rap, Hip Hop, J anything, Z anything, I could care less about and never listen to the genre...
..
Really? I always had you pegged as an original NWA fan.
I liked the old school. Snoop was on Lolla and a bunch of tours, NWA yes, NAS, Wu, PE, Run-DMC, Eminem, Tribe... then I dropped out. So I guess I take back half of what I posted...
To recap, according to this the previous sh*t pile of a thread page, the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley all suck/played out/whatever.
The Beatles occupy that weird zone of both being the best AND completely overrated. I remember vividly a facebook friend bitching when Pitchfork only gave the re-issue of Help a 9.2. I mean christ, really? They were unarguably an amazing band, but maybe it's possible that every thing they touched isn't the greatest ever. Sgt. Peppers, which everyone trips over themselves to call the "greatest of all time," is maybe their 4th best record. I don't know how anyone under the age of 40 can listen to "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" without rolling their eyes. ("A Day in the Life" is still a beast, however). Yeah they were the first and influential and all that, but by that standard people should be bumping Edison test records while they're on the treadmill.
Jimi Hendrix is on the same plane as the Beatles, although I'm far less certain he should be considered "the best."

It's a shame what the radio has done to Hip Hop's reputation. Good rap is supposed to be similar to poetry (at least in my eyes). Do you enjoy poetry?

I dont like jam bands either. Dosnt make sense really because I love jamming, when bands i love do a jam session live, etc. Just dont see the appeal of ever buying a jam bands album. I dont like how there is no clear break in songs. I do however like bands like Umphreys who add alot more to their music then just a few guys jamming on stage as well as the good folks that like jam music....except Dave Matthews fans who worship him like a god.
