For the billionth time, I think the Beatles are okay. They're not terrible, but they're not far and away the best band ever like some people want to say. This is not directed toward anyone in particular here, but I have a great deal more loathing for Beatles superfans because they, on the other hand, are far and away the most stubborn and ridiculous fans in music. I have never ran into fans of any artist that consistently put the blame for me not liking an artist on me like I have some kind of deficiency in my music listening ability or am just too lazy to put forth sufficient effort to "get" them.
Every time you post something like this, I die a little on the inside.
And regardless of how many times I post something like that, someone will ask me next week why I hate the Beatles so much.
I've also never listened to Prince. Welcome to the club.
Me either. I'm sure I would recognize some of his songs from popular culture, but if you asked me to sing a few notes of one of his songs... I couldn't. I can't even think of how Purple Rain goes.
Bonnie, I'll make you a Prince cd! Since we're old school, if I was able to, I'd make you a tape, but a cd will do right?
I used to drive a 79' Toyota that the floorboard had rusted out. You could literally Fred Rubble the thing down the street. It also has a walkman jerry-rigged in the dashboard that I once had Back In Black stuck in for months.
That was a good thing. I can now sing you every song off that album. I now consider AC/DC to be one of the greatest bands in history.

I know for a god damn fact you don't believe #1. I don't disagree with #2 historically, but this year is a coin flip (wooooo shittiest year in NY baseball EVARRR). #3 was blank. #4 is laughable. #5 THAT'S MY LINE YOU SNAKE!

...whoa, whoa, whoa. Do you not know who Scottie Pippen is? Top 50 player ever, HOFer, 6-time champion, just not Jordan. That's what Bubs is. No one on that show has success without Bubs being a part of it.
And the speech he gives that Dave's snapshot is from is probably the best monologue in the show.

I'm with you two. I only know the chorus of Purple Rain... nope, it appears I only know those two words. Out of his whole catalog nothing has really resonated with me. I'd still check him out for half a set if he ever came to Bonnaroo though.

Half a Prince set? Not allowed! Also he would most certainly be a headliner, so I would hope you'd stick around for the whole set considering there would be nothing else going on at the time.

I came here to post my hatred for the Beatles and Phish, but now I cant even gather my thoughts with all this "I dont know any Prince" talk. I feel like I dont know anyone on this board anymore god dammit!

Hey you may not like the Beatles or Phish, but no reason to hate brah. I think you'll find water is a wonderful alternative to HATERade.

Half a set is about right. Although I would rather be drinking back at camp getting ready for LN then watch any of his set.

After this reminder; I suppose I DO know 1999, LRC and WDC, but the only thing that came to mind was Puuuurple Rain . Prince sang those you say?
And to clarify, I would plan on attending the FIRST half of his set reguardless. If he wants me at the second half, he better brink some funk.

Ok, since I am shocked at the Prince, Beatles, etc comments I guess it is the confessions thread. Here is my music one and I know flack might come from it if anyone cares ...
Rap, Hip Hop, J anything, Z anything, I could care less about and never listen to the genre...
