I think "age doesn't matter" should be followed up by saying, "it only matters if it matters to you."
I attest to age is just a number! My hubby is 13 years younger than me, and most people don't even realize there is much of a difference. We certainly do not feel like it makes a difference.
I'm 32, and def saw a boy for a little who was 26. If the dude were 33, and she was 25, this wouldn't even cross most dudes mind, right? Ridiculous double-standard.
And with regards to something being "wrong" with unmarried women over 30 - As one of my heroes, Bridget Jones was once asked, "Why is it there are so many unmarried women in their thirties these days, Bridget?" and she responds, "Suppose it doesn't help that underneath our clothes our entire bodies are covered in scales." Single women who are over 30 aren't scale-covered freaks - we're normal people. And the reason why a 30+ woman is single could be as simple as she WANTS to be. Or as complicated as she gave up 5 years of her late-20s to a dude who never had any intentions of getting married even though he told her he did. There's any multitude of life paths that have brought her to where she is - none of them having to do with her being damaged or "wrong."
There's nothing wrong with a 33 year old hottie who wants to get her some young hot stud. JP, it may be Korean "culture" but it's also 2012. Go for it. She sounds great, and maybe she isn't looking for a young american hubbie. Maybe she just wants to have a good time with you? Maybe she just doesnt want to live by the Korean stereotypes that are LITerallly some of the most antiquated ideas on the GLOBE. THAT makes her even COOLER in my book.
Everything that Mayo said. Look at the group of inforooers we have here. Some are not even 21 and some are much older with people in between. When we get together we share a lot of the same interests and ideas. I agree MOST 33 year old guys wouldn't think twice about dating a 25 year old and it's 8 years. Is that really that big of a difference? So when you are 50 she will be 58? Just see where it goes, you might find that she will not think too poorly of your young age and keep you around for a while.

...or a chick in her 40s dating a guy who's nearly 16yrs younger, as long as the maturity levels are compatible. Granted, it doesn't always work...but what's the harm in trying? I tend to prefer younger guys, provided they're "old souls" who are smart, can engage me in great conversation, and are equally good listeners. It sounds like you fit the bill there, so you should have no trouble at all w/this one!
Numbers are TOOOOOOOTALLY irrelevant. It's the heart that matters most, not the age.

Everyone i know keeps telling me "ErMerGerd i should set you up with so and so", i'll say sure then they stop mentioning it. Quite annoying.
Had some feels for a girl, we were hanging out for a while. Going out and such, then decides she'd rather be with some d bag, who she was seeing prior to me told me how much better i am than he was. Keep in mind he is 28 works in a restuarant where i am 23 recently graduated and have a full time salary and job.... where does that make sense???

So now i'm dealing with Approach anxiety in social situations. Which is weird because at fests i'm extremely friendly and don't give a quack, but put me in a bar/club setting i'm a 7 year old girl who is afraid to talk to anyone.
EDIT: This is also somewhat relevant because the girl i was seeing was 26 and i was 23. She would constantly say "oh my god your so young" i was like 3 years??? wut?

Touche. I'm saying this based on what she had been telling me the entire time. And basically my friends all call me Good Guy Greg, i'm too nice at times.
Something I learned today: it is possible to catch feelings while moving furniture in a colleague's office. There are sexual innuendos aplenty to be bandied about, which may or may not constitute flirting. And there may or may not have been blushing at the mention of pegs that wouldn't slide into a tight hole in a bookshelf because it's too big...and other similar comments. Most academics are painfully dull; it's a treat to find one whose mind is not only brilliant but just as dirty as your own.
Days like this, I love my job. Most fun I've had all week.
To be clear... it involved ZERO sweating. There was maaaaaaaybe a little grunting while moving 1 bookshelf all of five feet then moving a small table. Our building is very air-conditioned; no chance of perspiration after a few minutes of physical activity.
Y'all are a bunch of pervs. I love it. ;D
EDIT: In my defense, it's hard to resist innuendo that starts with him saying (in reference to my traffic court appearance yesterday) "So, I heard you got off?" - Yep, sometimes a sly grin & a suppressed giggle is all it takes to set the wheels in motion...
