Okay here is my best guess late night schedule... sorry for the double thread topic earlier that must've been removed by an admin I searched for this thread and could not find it. Anyways Thursday LN: SOJA, Das Racist, and Ivan Neville's Dumpstaphunk for the 12-1 slot and Mimosa on the 1-2 slot. Friday LN: Which tent: The Roots 1-3 This tent: Flying Lotus 12:30-2> Major Lazer 2:30-4 That tent: Danzig Legacy 12:30-2 2:30-4 Puscifer Other tent: 12:45-2 Umphrey's McGee 2:30-4:30 Saturday: Which Tent: Skrillex 12:45-3 This Tent: Little Dragon 12:30-1:45 SBTRKT 2-4 That Tent: Battles 12:30-2 Big Gigantic 2:30-4:15 Other Tent: Mac Miller 12-1 Black Star 1:30-3 That's my best guess. Honestly wouldn't mind seeing Santigold for a late-night but I guess the less conflicts the better. Even with my guesses there is a lot I'll have to choose to miss or split up.

So with Skrillex confirmed for Saturday I feel like this really messes things up. Roots could still do LN Which Friday, but my assumption is there TV schedule makes them more likely for Saturday. Other options for Friday are FTP, Luda and Black Star. Seems like it has to be Roots or Luda Friday.
Oh, is UM still big enough for the Which? I'm skeptical...

So what if Aziz Ansari would do some LN Comedy on one of the stages? Could that work?
Or if Superjam is Atoms For Peace I could see that happening on one of the stages.

I think LN Which would be a terrible slot for the comic. Everyone would be super rowdy and there'd be lots of distracting ambient bass. It'd be like the worst bar show ever.
Of course, anything with Thom Yorke is on the Which.
hm..sry if it's been brought up//stupid question but why couldn't radiohead have a LN?
Headliners play unopposed in the 10-Midnight time range, it's better for the fest and the artist to have that sort of exclusivity. A Radiohead ln would also probably dwarf most of the other acts.

Late night talk shows aren't new every single day of the week. There can be a full week at a time where they're all reruns, so I don't really think this would be an issue.

Are we really certain the Roots will be a late night? Doesnt it seem more likely that they will pre-headline the What? Im thinking Saturday night pre RHCP.

ya I get that they generally pre-film friday's episode, but it still seems like a stretch. I think Saturday pre-HL is more likely.

I absolutely agree. Roots into RHCP will likely be the scenario for Saturday on the main stage.
This Friday night Which stage act is a real wildcard right now.
Given that Skrillex AND Dispatch are confirmed for Saturday according to the band-by-day-confirmations thread, Skrillex will definitely get the Which-stage LN which would place Dispatch as a Which stage preheadliner. Between the Roots and the Avetts, i think Avetts will get the what stage saturday preheadliner slot.
That means that the Friday LN Which slot is only really being contested between Foster the People and The Roots. i wonder who will get it.
The Roots. FtP has 40 minutes of material on record.
careful, i tried this argument out a few weeks ago and got my head bit off. apparently it's a treat for a band to play half a set of new material you've never heard before.

Haha, I know they do covers and whatnot and will probably do at least a couple unreleased tracks, but the fact of the matter is the LONGEST set they could realistically play is probably 75 minutes, which is not suitable for a late night. And like you said thats is HALF of the set is stuff that people will be unfamiliar with, which seems unlikely.

I think it will be dispatch. Only because of their bio on the Bonnaroo app. They just sell the band and anticipate their first show at Bonnaroo will be a special one.

Dispatch Skrillex
The roots in Primus spot.
this scenario is only likely if the person who told us that Dispatch was on saturday was full of it. It's definitely possible, but I feel like they are the perfect band to open for RHCP. I see them in the Buffalo Springfield slot. That's a good enough slot to sell on the bonnaroo bio IMO.

i thought the BS slot as what the source had said in the first place. seems by far the most likely now.

Exactly. and IMO if The Roots do not get a Which stage LN, bonnaroo would be dropping the ball big time. They are bonnaroo veterans, they can play very long shows 3 hours+, have very improvised elements to their show, play awesome covers that include War, Bob Dylan, and Led Zeppelin and much more, and huge potential for a slew of special guests, MCs and instrumentalists alike. This show has the potential to be on-par or even surpass My Morning Jacket's 2008 show.
