Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
There are better bands that could take the lower level spots, too. The thing is, you could look at just about any band on there you don't like and be all butthurt and all "WHY ISNT MY FAVORITE BAND ON THERE INSTEAD," but it doesn't work like that. There are going to be 120+ bands on the lineup. Most people will like (if they're lucky) 60 of them. Most people will see (if they're lucky) 30 of them. Odds are, if a band you really liked was there instead of Skrillex or whoever, they'd conflict with someone else you really liked and then you'd b*tch about that. So basically, there are complaints either way and it gets old and tiresome.
I've missed your posts the past few days Juggs
I'm honestly glad he was able to get online today.
It'd be a lot less weak if he had used his SUPER HACKER skills to get it early, methinks.
And I'd say the 4-10 this year are as good as last year, honestly. It's all a matter of personal preference, but it's really similar.
- Fast-rising semi-indie act: Black Keys (11) vs. Bon Iver (12) - Weird reunion that people are inexplicably excited about: Buffalo Springfield (11) vs. Beach Boys (12) - Semi-bluegrass band that chicks love: Mumford & Sons (11) vs. the Avetts (12) - "Pop" act that pisses everyone off: Lil' Wayne (11) vs. Foster the People (12) - Really crappy band that nobody likes: String Cheese Incident (11) vs. Skrillex (12) - Another sort of indie band that people who don't like indie rock are okay with: My Morning Jacket (11) vs. the Shins (12) - No real comparison, but f*ck it: Robert Plant (11) vs. Dispatch (12) (I left out Aziz because 11 didn't have a comedy act).
I mean, going down that list it's purely a matter of personal preference, but it's not better or worse, really. And Radiohead/RHCP/Phish is head and shoulders above Eminem/Arcade Fire/WSP (only Arcade Fire beats RHCP).
So, yeah.
I agree with this so much. Juggs single-handedly sold me on the entire top 10 this year.
We should all bow our heads in silence for a moment to thank insider for once again being 100% accurate with what she gave us. Pray to her if you must. We now know yet again that we have a great, reliable source of info. Although we all trust her already, this gives her even more credit to new people who show up here or those who don't believe. I am going to do a bit of ritualistic animal sacrifice in her honor, then release my seed into a bottle of Fanta. Thank you, insider!

I haven't even listened to Kendrick Lamar or Danny Brown but The Roots and BlackStar. What else do you need? And Ludacris is 10 times more interesting than Drake.
I was just thinking about Bon Iver being so high up on the lineup. That probably means main or second stage and probably during the day, right? Don't think so. His tent set a few years ago will remain a fine Bon Iver/Bonnaroo memory for me.
So as to not make this a completely schedule related post, the Spotify playlist is making it easier for someone like me (severe ADHD) to actually pay attention to the lineup and not accidentally skim over someone important. Plus, it's making it easier to check out the music of those I don't know so well. Also, I'm happy they put a live Phish track on there.

I think he pre-headlines the main stage. Or has a main spot on the Which stage.
Turtles are, actually quite sexy, if you think about it. I’m getting an erection just thinking about turtles. No, not a stripper named turtles, that’s not funny. Actual turtles.

What are some examples of bands/artists that have been added after the lineup drop?
I know they happen every year, but after waiting and then going, everything runs together.
It differs every year. Last year I believe the biggest add was NOFX. Hoping for someone from the original fake poster. Ill keep my fingers crossed for Jack White, but maybe more like Florence or the Kills.
I'm just curious, what do people mean when they say the lineup is "top heavy"?
They mean that the majority of the quality music on the line-up is in the top few lines. At the moment, I'd almost agree but that's just because there might be 40 names on here that I haven't listened to.
I bet after a listening party tonight, the line-up will blow me away even more.

For my taste, this lineup is nowhere near top-heavy. More like a "milkjug" figure.
