He's like you made an über troll by taking the worst parts of me (the utter disregard for other people's opinions), Phi (cluttering up threads with memes and adding nothing to a discussion) and Jess (an apparent belief that everyone else is the problem and/or arrogance without self awareness).

I'm listening to the new record right now on Spotify. These guys were a lineup find for me. So far I like their debut album best. I really wish I could see them, but with them playing on Sunday I highly doubt I will be able to due to conflicts. Unless they play prior to Ben Folds Five, I probably won't get to see them.
I think this has been mentioned before, but for those of you just getting into Delta Spirit, make sure to listen to their Daytrotter sessions. They do some great covers including Dawes "Peace in the Valley" and A.A. Bondy's "Lovers Waltz".
After several listens, I'm all in on this album. My initial concerns over the production have been relegated due to the great songwriting and musicianship. I'm a fanboy of these guys and always will be.
Saw them live last night with a small crowd in Cleveland. I didn't discover these guys until the lineup came out. Really enjoying the first two albums. The new one is good, but I agree with folks above = a bit overproduced. But the songs sounded good live. Especially Tear it Up and Time Bomb. Make no mistake - they have some mellow stuff -but live they are a ROCK band and they really bring it! A must see at Roo for me even though I got to see them now!
trashcan is the poop. i skipped em when they were in town cause they on the bonnaroo bill, now there sure to be conflict
I started to skip it for same reason. But then at the last min decided I wanted to be out of the house last night anyway. I am so glad I went. Some bands live act is very different from their recorded stuff, Delta Spirit is one.

So I had been lukewarm on these guys after listening to a couple of the songs of their newest album(s?) so I never gave them a real chance until now, but I just listened to Ode to Sunshine with my headphones in while I was cleaning my kitchen and DAMN that is some great stuff. Gonna try History From Below and the new one here again soon. There definitely seems to be a shift in sound from what I've heard after Ode to Sunshine, though
I must have listened to "Trashcan" about 20 times today
I wrote this earlier but i was on my phone and it didnt go through.
Do me a favor and download the "i think ive found it" EP for delta spirit. These guys are a top act of mine and their last show at roo was awesome. Unforgettable. Ive got stories for these guys that i will have to post here soon. But check out that EP as well as the waits room EP. Great stuff

Just listened to History from Below twice, also very good album. 'White Table' is great. About halfway through the most recent self-titled one and it's just decent. Not as good as the first two but still pretty good. I will definitely check those EPs out though, good look man
It's gonna be hard for me to miss this set now, but Sunday is looking like such a b*tch. There's already The Antlers and Black Lips which I'm not missing for anything but each other and then if I have to choose between Delta Spirit or The War on Drugs like I do in my mock I'm gonna be salty and don't know what I'd do.
