And wow, you're like a walking, talking infomercial to turn people away from Pearl Jam and Ohio State, aren't you? Before you started posting here I quite liked Pearl Jam and was indifferent towards OSU, now I find myself wishing that Eddie Vedder falls down a mine shaft or that Columbus is infested with locusts
I just got my vacation reapproved (I transferred to a different office) so thankfully Bonnaroo is still on for me. It will be my first trip to the "belly of the beast" (as my friend called it) since 2004.
I can't quite express how excited I am to have Phish closing out what will no doubt be an epic weekend for me. Radiohead coming smack dab the first day on Friday will be too much to handle. I'm thinking all the gloriousness on Saturday will be various late night happenings, then to wake up sunday and drag my sorry ass to see my favorite band of all time with 80,000 of my new friends?

"As a homosexual, my job is simply to sodomize mediocrity. I am terrified and horrified and shocked that anyone would mention Phish in any article related to me."
Deerhunter is awesome, Phish is awesome. No need to be defensive. Trey saying something about Deerhunter isn't going to change my opinion about them either.

Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
Yeah I doubt a highly successful iconic American Rock band gives much of a care what a guy who feels his job is to quack mediocrity says.
I'm not making a value call on Phish here at all man settle down. Has PT gone on a two day deerhunter take down or what?
Not that I am aware of but I really only lurk their for ticket trades and tour dates. I was not making a call about dude either, just that in all likelihood Phish if anything thought it was funny.
Playing a hour long version of My Sharona because someone requested it, is actually the kind of thing that would appeal to their sense of humor.
PS- I'm not a huge Phan but do enjoy Phish quite a bit. I started listeneing to them in'09 to prepare for Roo. I think these shows will play to your interest level well.

"Included in the ticket price for each specific date, is a free MP3 download of the entire show (a fully mixed soundboard recording), redeemable at LivePhish.com, often within an hour of the band stepping off stage."
This is the first message board I've ever been on, the only reason I joined is because I love Bonnaroo and wanted to read and talk about it all year long.

Anybody know if they're doing this for Bonnaroo?
Hard to say, the shows are not very hard to find regardless. That is why they added ten dollars to the ticket prices, and including them I guess. Most people only want to listen to the shows they were at except for the real standouts.
For an easy one to find, New Years Eve 95 Madison Square Garden is what introduced me. I really enjoy that one.
I'm stoked about this rumored southern run:
8/24 oak mtn 8/25 ATL 8/26 Charlotte
I really hope this happens. Already put in for vacation time.
Whoa whoa, an Oak Mountain date? Please let this be true. That is about 3 minutes from my house and I have been waiting a long time for them to come back.
So I'm willing to give Phish one more chance. What live albums on Spotify should I check out?
4/3/98 from the Island Tour.
This is my favorite "album" ever and the show that got me into phish. you do t need party favors to enjoy or get phish, but It certainly accelerates the process.
put this show w iTunes visualizer on w your friend Lucy or some fun-guys, and I guarantee you that your mind will be blown.
