Listening to these pundits talk about elections, this sounds like ESPN. They are talking about strategy and it sounds like NFL Live or a Halftime report
Just saw someone crowd surfing at McCormick place. That rubs me the wrong way. Get your shit together and show some class. This is a Presidential Election, not a Radiohead show.
Finally some states voting FOR gay marriage! Legalizing weed, meh, though it's a step in the right direction. I am more in favor of legalizing everything, mostly for crime, gang, and cartel reasons, as well as wasting money on the war on drugs. I don't think it would raise usage rates, though certainly I wouldn't encourage anyone to use these drugs, even weed, though it sure as hell is everyone's right if they choose to do so. It will be interesting to see statistics come out from these states over the next 3 years, since apparently no one in 'Murica believes in the mythical land of Portugal.

The way we cover sports and politics in this country is remarkably similar.
I halfway like Romney as an actual personality, but not as a person because he is a liar and has lived the most charmed life ever. But I cannot wait to see Obama celebrate!
I am dissapointed with the way California voted on our ballot measures.
- We had the chance to repeal the death penalty, but failed to do so.
- We voted on a tax increase. It's supposedly supposed to be for debt, but how can we repay debt if spending also increases? ???
- We are going to continue to allow Unions to use payroll deduction funds for political campaign contributions. (Since that makes sense..)
- There was some good insurance reform that would provide more discounts on premiums for more drivers, didn't pass. (I guess most people have bad driving records and don't want the increased premiums.)
California, I love you... But I don't understand your voters...

Obama re-elected, marijuana legalized for RECREATIONAL USE in Colorado (and Washington), gay marriage in Maryland
Incredible night. Whether you like it or not, a historic night for America. We now have the most liberal marijuana laws in the world. So proud of our country, not just for that but for everything that happened today, and proud of my state (Ohio) for basically being the ones that determined Obama getting re-elected
Pretty pleased with the national results. Local results not so much. I am trying to not gloat a little at the office and on facebook, but part of me just wants to walk around doing this.
Last night I found out Irish people LOVE Obama. Like, I knew there was always the Obama/Ireland connection, but good god almighty I got 3 drinks bought for me at the bar just for saying I voted for Barry.
I'll admit that last night restored some faith in the American people for me. Wins for gay marriage across the board (not where it should be nationally, but at least it's gaining momentum in the right direction). Legalized it (I'm moving to Colorado). Warren and McCaskill both won.
This was by far the election I've cared about the most, so I'm thrilled with the way things turned out.
The only thing I will say that's so disgusting it's depressing is the filthy and vile sh*t being written on Facebook. I had no idea I was Facebook friends with so many racist and scummy people. Key word being 'was.'
One of the few friends I have on FB that voted for the other camp very graciously acknowledged Obama as our President and said he should be treated with respect. You would not believe the shit she is getting from her friends.
