Also, Tyler's verse on this song is another reason I think he's going to continue to improve as an MC.
Really? As a huge OF fan from the beginning I thought it was one of the worst verses he's ever dropped. All the guest appearances he's had since Goblin have seemed really stale to me. My expectations for WOLF are that it could be either REALLY bad or really good, I'm nervous to see what path Tyler's career takes

I mean, in terms of delivery and cadence I thought this was a step up. He also toned down his "horror core" stuff.
I think being around professionals helps him grow as an MC. He has limitless potential with his vocab and style. I just think this gets him closer to Roo.
I'm probably in an overwhelming majority, but I wouldn't mind seeing Game at Roo.
I think you mean minority. Because no one really wants that bi polar cornball recycling verse after verse and seeing how many different rappers he can name in a single song for an hour.
Heres the thing bout this nigga son. When he go into another nigga chamber he go straight to jockin that nigga shit. Its been that way since day 1 tho nahmean. He was doin joints wit 50 Cent...he sounded like Fif. He did a joint wit Eminem...son got his Slim Shady on all over that muthafucka. He do joints wit Nas...he all a sudden spittin like Nas. He do a joint wit Rae...he soundin like Rae. Im sayin this nigga never bring his own identity to the table. So when he decides to start surfin the Tyler wave...you already kno what this nigga gon be doin namsayin. Then he throws Lil Weezy-Ana on this shit n we spose to have some mindblowin shit happenin here I guess. Son talmbout slurpin on Erykah Badu box n pokin Bron Bron's moms n shit. All that shit is whatever but this nigga said "when Im wit my uncle...fuck it...then Im a Crip too" which lets you kno how serious he is bout this Blood life. I cant fuck wit this shit tho.
And I know Game's latest stuff has been overwhelmingly generic. But I love his old mixtape stuff. I'm probably delusional to think he would do that stuff at a festival performance, but I saw him a few years ago and he did a lot of mixtape/freestyles that were good.

I thoroughly enjoyed his first album, and some of his mixtape material. He does have some solid mc skills, but it just doesn't add up to quality music. The features and production are the only highlights of his albums nowadays. I'm not gonna knock on his generic raps, because I do enjoy plenty of generic rap, but he has no identity. He adopts the mood/flow/style of whoever he is rapping with or trying to mimic at the time, its just a little too poser-ish to me. And all of that name dropping was played out after his first album.

Game is the biggest poser to ever make it big in hip-hop. Still don't know how people don't hate him yet, he jocks whatever is hot at the time and offers NOTHING original to anything. The Documentary is a classic but ONLY because of Dre. After that everything is awful

I could see Childish Gambino making a repeat appearance at the farm. His profile has really gone up since this summer and he doesn't play Nashville on his spring tour.
Hate on Game, only after you've heard this in it's entirety:
This, The Documentary and Hate it or Love it are what Game is to me. I haven't kept up with or cared to keep up with him for several years now, but what he's got is enough for me to like him.

I just started wrapping presents. After 3AM on Christmas morning. To top it off, I'm going to make a claim opposite to that made by Jay-Z: Worst wrapper alive!

How is Nas not big enough to fill the Which Stage? He filled What in 2010 and you cannot tell me that was only cuz of Damian Marley. Nas is way too big for a tent.
Although if it meant getting a 2 hour solo set from him in a tent at 3 am I'd be ALL for it.
Daytime stage with Damian Marley in 2010 is a lot different than LN stage solo in 2012.
And concerning Nas by himself: it's a crapshoot - mix of awesome and absolute boring retread. Seeing him rock with a band was actually refreshing and effective for him.
Right now the biggest speculated acts I've seen in this thread - with new music - are Black Star, The Roots, Drake, and Ghost/Rae.

I'm surprised nobody's mentioned this yet, but what about Mac Miller? He's definitely a popular, up-and-coming rapper. I'm sure a bunch of people hate him on this board, but I could easily see him holding down Wiz Khalifa's spot (depending on how much bigger he gets by June). Considering, Wayne, Wiz, and J Cole all just played, Mac should get a slot too. Especially since he also is doing Bamboozle now too.
Obviously, T.I. is trying to bring his name back out there, with his horrible show on VH1. Do you think he could be a possibility to get back out there and start touring? If so, where would he get booked. At first I was thinking something like Big Boi last year. On second thought, even with his recent absence from the music scene, I still feel like he might be too big of a name for a tent.

Outkast or bust I say. OUTKAST!
Like I said, he will have a new album out in 2012, just like Black Star. He headlines Rock The Bells every year, I dont see how he couldn't fill a main stage by himself.

Good God, I hope not. Pretty much everything he's released in the last 4 years has been absolute dogshit.
He's got plenty of hits to put on a good show. King was a great album, I'm not sure if that's included in your assessment of dog sh!t.

maybe I just think it's a bad idea.... especially since I was at the last few RTB's in NYC
sidenote: No MacFiller, if we are even going to discuss this... "genre"... go for Asher Roth and call it a day

Is Odd Future too big for Thursday at this point? I saw someone posted they'd like OF to close a Thursday tent and I thought that sounded ridiculous. Am I wrong?

To me, that sounds about right. I don't really know for sure though.
Nas would def play a stage. He wouldn't be a hip hop headliner though. He wasn't even close to headlining in 2010.

If they played Thursday, their tent would be ridiculously packed, even though their buzz has cooled significantly. The could open a LN hip hop tent for a bigger act, or be a daytime tent on Friday, by my best estimation. But I don't guess Thursday is totally out of the question.
