I also like that you can kind of tell who reads the books vs. who watches the show by whether they call her Dany or khaleesi. Everyone that watches the show seems to refer to her as khaleesi like it's her name, because that's what Mormont always calls her.
nice observation, this is true at work. the two guys new to the show call her khaleesi, but whenever I say "Dany" they don't know who I'm talking about.

For a while I thought Khal was also Khal Drogos first name....took me some time to realize that Khal and Khaleesi meant King and Queen. I also didn't realize there were many different Khal's for different tribes. I assumed Drogo was the leader of all those people but I was pleased to find out there are others.

Also for the record, It's not Dany, its Danerys, and Im in the have not read the books camp.
I agree the last two were a bit week, like yall said, setting us up for two great eps to end the season.
I too enjoyed Arya's little game. It was great to know that it was the farm kids that Theon burned (although it still sucked, at least it wasnt characters that we were invested in). I literally busted out laughing when Cersi brought in Turion's "whore" and it was the wrong woman. LOVED the way Tyrion played it off to make her think it was.
I would not recommend that one if you haven't read through at least Book 3, because certain hated characters might give away certain plot info. It also suffers more from being pre-DwD, because certain characters have surely become substantially more hated since they got extended focus in Feast.

Honestly though, my favorite character sorta changes depending on what's going on. Arya and Tyrion consistently rank 1 and 2 for me though!
However, the first time see Danerys flying around buck azz naked on the back of a dragon torching some shiz, she will probably skyrocket to #1! ;D
I think mine is fairly similar Arya Tyrion Jon Snow Dany Bronn....I like him...I understand he is a minor character...but he makes me chuckle.
And I feel the same about Arya and Tyrion. I think I love Arya because she's a girl and stronger than most of the other girls in the show. But Tyrion...man, he is bee's knees.
Dany occasionally jumps pretty high on the list and sometimes falls to the very bottom of it. She can have moments of bad-assery and moments where I just want to push her into a puddle.

Like when we go 3 episodes with 2 minutes of scenes with her. When the story goes to her, she jumps up there high on my list, my anticipation for what I hope she will do added to her being so strong and hot I think is what makes me love her!
winteriscoming.net has been leaking casting auditions for season 3. what's significant about this is that some of the missing roles have been confirmed. Based on the audition leaks, Edmure Tully and Vargo Hoat are confirmed for season 3 along with Daario. Hopefully we get the Blackfish as well.

Glad you liked it. I'm interested to see what non-book readers thought, because I thought the end was pretty jumbled and confusing and they didn't really explain what had happened. I guess they'll explain it in the next episode, but I thought they could have made it clearer in this episode instead of a bunch of random shots of soldiers running around and then Tywin busting into the throne room.

I got what was going on but it was a lot at once. I didn't realize who the men were at first and I just expected Tywinn but when it was the Tyrell's I was a bit surprised. Cool stuff.
Awesome episode, I was really hoping to see Joffrey's head get lobbed off and spiked onto the floors of hell, but I guess it will be all the more sweeter when it finally (hopefully) does happen.

So I am a little confused, who slashed Tyrion's face at the end, was it a random soldier of Stannis, or was it the big guard guy that Joffery told to go fight in the name of the king. I swear I think it was him, but my wife swears it was just a random Stannis soldier.
That was a GREAT episode Tyrion gets more badass with every ep! Loved it when he chopped off the guys leg, then had to stand there and wait for the guy to fall before he could deal the death blow.

Gotta love the hound and Sansa!
One more to go in this seaon, should be good!
It was Ser Meryn Trant, or "the big guard guy that Joffrey told to go fight in the name of the king". He didn't have a really big presence this season, so it doesn't surprise me that you didn't catch on to who it was. I'm sure others were in the same boat as you. More on that though will be addressed next episode I'm sure.

I haven't seen the episode yet, but I would assume it was the guard guy since that is how it plays out in the books. I would go more into it, but I don't know if it will be elaborated on in the finale.

I picked up that it was the guard, but my wife swore it wasn't. I was telling her it is a big deal because it was him. Had it just been a random soldier of stannis, it wouldn't have been that biga deal.
