"If any of those flaming quacking arrows come near me, I will strangle you with your own intestines!"
Best line of any TV show, ever
I don't know, I feel like he was on a roll that night, I also enjoyed " if anyone dies with a clean sword I will fu** his corpse!" I chuckled...
Or when he told Joffery off
And I definitely love the Hound/Sansa dynamic.
I loved last nights episode. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole thing even though I have read the books and I *for the most part* know what's going on...
It was interesting how they dis the Hell fire. When I read the book I didn't pick up on how they "released" it, maybe I was just too excited and read too quickly....but this whole season I have been wondering how they were going to do it. And it was awesome....and can I just say that the acting in this show is astonishing. Every episode I am more and more impressed by some of these actors. It adds so much more depth to the show.
Great episode. Left me confused at times, particularly at the end. Going into the episode, I thought Stannis had this one.
It's good to know that the series can take me by surprise like this. Perhaps it was too foggy here for me to have devoted my full attention to this, but I still have my moments of confusion following the show. I suspect there's a lot of iceberg below the surface in the books that I'm not getting by only viewing the show, but there's not a lot I can do about that at this point. I'm not going to finish two novels in time for the series finale, but I'm planning on picking up the books sometime in the near future. Part of me worries that I'll wind up complaining that the show isn't like the books like so many others, though.

Yea this is one of those shows where you really need to pay attention to every line and also understand what everyone's saying. At some points i'll realize that i'm listening to them talk but am not retaining the info so i rewind it a bit. Also if I look away or get distracted for a moment I'll likely find something confusing.

Things are getting crazy now. White Walker army, Wildlings army, dragons breathing fire (awesome!), Dany looking badass, Tyrion losing his power....stuff is getting nuts.

Just got through watching it. It was a little of a letdown with the epicness of the battle last week, but it set up things very well for the start of next season.

Not really a book spoiler but I've seen it pointed out that the guys on the horses were White Walkers while the zombies/re-animated corpses are known as "Wights" or something like that. Good to know. Was not expecting that ending.

Yep, the white walkers are more or less a distinct species of human that can reanimate dead things and make them do their bidding. In the first episode that was a white walker that attacked them, then later it was a wight that attacked Morment, when Jon saved him.
I scrolled blindly to the bottom of this page without reading ANYTHING just to say that I fiiiinally just started watching this show (long overdue but I don't have HBO ) and 3 episodes in, I already love it.

Good idea. There are some spoilery type things early on in the thread but I think everyone gave a proper warning. At one point we split the threads so there was one for book-readers (who knew of future storylines and wanted to discuss differences between the two versions) and this one for just the show watchers. Let us know what you think as you work through it
the Reeds will definitely be in the third season. No way you can justify writing them out. My guess is instead of being Crannogmen they will just be from one of the Northern villages and meet Bran along his way.
Well I still don't know much about them as I'm not reading the books but the reeds will definitely be in it next season. According to this new video from Comic-con. Some new characters:
Very interested to see where they take the show vs. the books the next two seasons (they're still breaking Storm of Swords into two seasons for the show, right).
Very excited for Season 3. The third book in ASoIaF is the best epic fantasy book I've ever read. I've read better fantasy books, but in terms of a book in one of these huge fat never ending fantasy series (epic), its far and away the best.
