You're annoying as quack bro.

He doesn't even know that he doesn't know. He's gotta be like 10 years old.
Sign nothing to see here move along until lineup drop and then we can complain about the secret headliner they are holding back. Seriously it is 2012 if the Mayans were not fucking around why be cautious? Blow the budget live a little! I bet this year will be EPIC! Everything is aligned correctly look at all of the not just good but GREAT Bands that are touring. Hell I got a nice stack of non-Bonnaroo tickets before the year even began. Radiohead, "THE WALL", Bjork is on tour but sadly not where I can reach it just yet, and there are tons of other really really awesome bands other thne these top tier ones I have named. hell I wish I could get a Tool ticket to Atl right now but I do not have the vacation days and just next month even a reclusive artist like Maynard is putting on Puscifer shows. Jus' Sayin' some of the greatest of the great are out there rolling around Phish is for those die hards here on the board and why I do love them they are not in my cream of the crop group they are in a vast majoirty of this board, Talks about The Who, Tom Petty, Black Sabbath, there are a lot of big name acts headliners etc out and about. Meanwhile I am going back to read this interesting thread I sa about The Black Keys vs. Thievery Corporation. Yes I left Jay-Z early and basked in that goodness a few years ago. I think I want some more of that. Sigur Ros is apprently interested in doing live stuff again that show was FUCKING EPIC! mark my words when the lineup and schedule drops I have a feeling there will be some hard choices.

Probably no Black Sabbath. Not that I was really expecting them though. Saw this on facebook.
With the news that Black Sabbath’s Tony Iommi has been diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma, his bandmates would like everyone to send positive vibes to the guitarist at this time. Iommi is currently working with his doctors to establish the best treatment plan--the “IRON MAN” of Rock & Roll remains upbeat and determined to make a full and successful recovery.
This comes as Black Sabbath...--Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Bill Ward (drums)--are writing and recording their first album in 33 years in Los Angeles (still set for release this fall) with producer Rick Rubin. They will now go to the UK to continue to work with Tony. Further information will be released as it becomes available.

Love to Iommi and his crew. The release did say early stages so that's grounds for hope for a good prognosis. The chemo for it is rough though so while touring is out, hopefully he'll be able to record.
Apparently Iommi and Sabbath are moving forward with all their plans to record the album and the full tour. Hopefully that's a very good sign for his health. I doubt this news has anything to do with whether they are or are not playing Bonnaroo.

Alberto, I really like where you're going with that lineup...although I must ask...is there any real reason to believe Rage would be playing live anytime soon or is it just wishful thinking?

Mostly wishful thinking. They're bound to play Bonnaroo eventually, they headlined Coachella in 07 and Lolla in 08 and it seems like they hit a festival or two each year and Roo is the last big US one they haven't played. There also seems to be a headliner out of left field each year and I don't see us getting McCartney or The Rolling Stones, so Rage seems like a possibility. Plus there doesn't appear to be a straightforward hip-hop or metal headliner available which has become a staple at Roo over the last few years and Rage would kind of fill both of those demographics.
Would the Roots really be that low? I don't care where they are, to be honest, just surprised that they'd be so far down.
Well they were billed 17th the last time they played in 2007 and they're 21st on mine. They haven't had any sudden surge in popularity since then and the fest has only gotten bigger so I think it's about right. They might be a few spots higher but I don't think they're too out of place there

That's definitely one of the best and most realistic looking lineups I've seen yet. I'd be super psyched for it. Rage seems like the most unrealistic one though. Beach Boys and RATM are total opposites, so I can't see that (although maybe that make it more awesome, who knows). Also, a few of those would probably be moved up a bit if I had to guess (Foster, Cage the Elephant, Young the Giant), but very solid otherwise.
Edit: Actually the biggest issue would be Skrillex. He's supposed to be on a main stage right? I know his tent would be wayyyyy overcrowded.
