Can we stop talking Van Halen and talk about Van Morrison? Sure it means shutting down alcohol sales during his set, just make it the Pre-HL on the What before Phish.
I can just see him expecting a sober audience when he opens for Phish....
I'm with ya. Those 3 and Bowie are at the top of the bucket list...
I would personally rank the 4 as Prince, Bowie, Stones, Macca. That said, I would be ecstatic for any of them at the top of the bill. A top line of (any of those 4)-Phish-Foo Fighters-Beach Boys would compete with any top line 'roo has had IMO.
I dont see The Stones at Roo. I'm guessing they will have some elaborate stage set up that will not be possible for a Roo performance and the price would just be too high. I hope I'm wrong though. I'm thinking that Saturday will be Macca, Prince, or RHCP. If it is RHCP then that would be a weak headlining pool IMO.
I believe in an interview Richards said that if they so the tour it will be a bit more striped down and more about the music. I can't imagine they would have a more elaborate set-up than a lot of bands that have already played in the last few years. Think about the set-up Jay-Z had, that worked out fine.

I was talking more about something that goes out into the crowd which they have done a good bit. But if Richards said that then I dont believe it will be a problem
Ya it would be unlikely they would put something like that up on the farm but even if they have one on tour would that really be a deal breaker to not play? I doubt it. Also for Bruce they put up stairs so he could easily get up and down from stage and he used the trench between the stage and soundboard to run around in.
I don't see the Stones not playing because of a stage setup. They don't need it for their performance really, and have done it without I'm sure in the past (they've played some tiny clubs in recent years, so I doubt they could fit their normal setup in those). Someone like Waters is a little more difficult, as his show is based around the visuals and props. But I don't see a band not playing because of their setup: they would either make it happen (Jay-Z, Daft Punk at Coachella) or just go without it, it's not like they've never played without it before.
I think at this point the vast majority of people are fed up with the Flips shtick. I'm sure they will be back eventually but I hope they give it a few more years

I don't think they'll be back for a while. They've played every 3 years or so in the past, but it's always the same show it seems (except DSOTM). They play everywhere and even a huge fan as myself is kind of tired of seeing them at this point. I've seen them 4 times now (Roo 07 and 10, Nashville last May, Moogfest this year) and it's almost a waste of a LN Which Stage spot at this point since I'd go to almost anything else playing.
1. The Stones are not playing (at Bonnaroo) 2. Insider already told you who is playing
1. you dont have any info, stop pretending you do. 2. no she didnt
1. I'm not pretending 2. Yes she did, effectively. 2 of 3, at least, and the third can be deduced without much difficulty (as some people did). If you want someone to just straight up tell you the headliners, no one is going to do that before the announcement without speaking out of school. Insider certainly is not, and I'm not going to either even if I'm not an insider. If you actually want to know the headliners now, you're going to have to do a little work for it. Apparently, most posters here prefer to remain in the dark.

she said 2 of the 3 headliners and 1 other big name is known to her currently. she knows 3 of the top 5/6. doesnt mean its 3 top billed. even though weve told you this many times you still cant comprehend it for some reason. and in due time she will tell us who the top 5 or 6 acts are, and yes it will be before the release date.

I comprehend perfectly that most people are not reading Insider's hints carefully and in context, which when put together should make clear the relative billing of those acts booked and unconfirmed.

In what pleasure does it bring you to come in here and boast that you know the headliners but won't share or give any insight where you are getting them from.
