Now that the Shpongle question is cleared up, I feel a lot better about making predictions.

As far as Wayne and SCI, I can't decide.
I could live with this! I really don't see ratatat getting more then an hour set though. They are my number one must see but i still don't see it happening. i would love for them to play that long and be able to jump into the end of pretty light and then move as close as i can for STS9. What an awesome night that would be.

Like everyone else I was hoping that MMJ, EITS or Primus would get a late night slot. If there was another add for a band that played roo before Animal collective was fully deserving of a redo.
I am thinking my can't miss are Ratatat, Shpongle, STS9 and Bassnectar (who I still haven't got to see a full set). I will probably aim for Girl Talk, Gogol Bordello, Pretty lights and Lil Wayne barring conflicts.
Also, I just put this video back online this week after having my youtube account terminated. It used to have 60000 views.
Like someone else mentioned, I just don't see that happening because that would mean Eminem (#1 on the lineup) is essentially opening for Lil Wayne (#7 on the lineup)
like Stevie Wonder(#3) opened for Jay-Z(#4) and Pearl Jam(#1) opened for Kanye(#5)
edit: for the record i think Wayne ends up on Which, just sayin that logic has been proven wrong in the past.
I guess I should clarify what I said regarding Eminem "opening" for Lil Wayne (provided they both play What Stage Saturday night). First, I said it could work if Eminem planned on joining Lil Wayne at the end of his set. Definately would close out the What Stage with a bang, and is totally doable. Also, it only feels like Eminem would be "opening" for Lil Wayne because they are both hip-hop artists. Its having your top billed rapper first and having a lower rapper close out the festivities. Just seems like poor strategy for keeping people at the big stage.
I obviously don't feel that Stevie Wonder opened for Jay-Z. And Kanye didn't follow Pearl Jam, he opened for whoever was playing early Sunday

I never like any of the reeally obvious late night acts. I'd love to have Explosions in the sky, Iron & wine, Dr. John, Primus, and SCI late night though.
Can the shpongletron experience really set up in 30 minutes though?? .
If the first person playing doesn't have a huge setup also, Shpongletron can be set up beforehand behind them behind a curtain or something. Kind of like Deadmau5 was already setup last year behind Dan Deacon.
I want to see most of the bands playing latenight. I suspect I'll be tent-jumping alot and catching pieces of sets here and there. Only set I must see in full is Gogol Bordello
As epic as STS9 getting their own tent would be (and as much as i would love to see it happen), I would hate to have to miss Ratatat or a piece of STS9. They are my top 2 must see all of their sets. I am holding out and hoping to see all of ratatat, STS9, bassnectar and pretty lights. This plus MMJ and Primus not conflicting would make my bonnaroo. Here is for hoping.

Come on dude, STS9>Ratatat
I might agree but i have seen STS9 four times and have yet to see ratatat. These two are the ones i want to see all of. If I had seen ratatat then i would prob just see all of tribe but i haven't so ratatat is my number one.

I don't know where you guys are getting your ideas for the times and days of the late night acts. Typically all of the dance/electro/crazy rave music tends to take place Friday late night, so that's where I'd place my bets on at least Girl Talk and Bassnectar. I'd probably place my bets on Lil Wayne being a Saturday late night...but who knows...I guess we'll find out soon enough

^ That was the case in 2008 and 2009. But then on 2009 there was dance/electronic music going on in all 3 tents and everyone complained. EDM fans had too many conflicts and non-EDM fans had nothing to see. Last year they started switching it up a bit, in the main tents Bassnectar played Fri while DeadMau5 played saturday. I suspect they'll continue switching it up

Well Pollstar has Bassnectar and Girl Talk listed on Saturday. That doesn't make it concrete, but it makes it the best guess you could make.

Better than almost anything. It can't be explained to those who have yet to experience it.
Once again, i've seen STS9 four times and have been dieing to see ratatat for a couple years now. Missing a piece of ethier set would bother me. I have really wanted to see ratatat and since i have seen STS9 (even seen them at roo), I will pick the ratatat but STST9 will play way longer so i will get to see a bunch of them. It would just suck because like you two I feel STS9>anything else. It is the live experience of them that puts it over the top. I hated on tribe before seeing them. I thought their music was lame and boring, but was told repeadly if you are with your friend lucy then you have to see them. So in 2007 i went to see them after being really spun. My mind was blown. I know what to expect and will not miss them. But if i had to miss a piece it would be for ratatat cause i have not seen them yet and they are my most anticapated set equal tribe. So i agree STS9>ratatat or anything else for that matter at roo. But if you have seen one of the acts and not the other then you do not necessarily use the this band > this band logic to decide. I would hate to miss ANY of STS9 but I have to see ratatat!

holy crap!!! late night at bonnaroo is gonna be insane!!!! i wanna see:
The Black Angels Bootsy Collins & the Funk University Ratatat String Cheese Incident Pretty Lights Lil Wayne Dr. John with the Original Meters and Allen Toussaint performing Desitively Bonnaroo Big Boi Scissor Sisters Shpongle Presents Shpongletron Experience
Since Dr John is playing late night, and most likely Saturday night (not that I have any concrete evidence), do you think this makes him likely to make a guest appearance with WP on Sunday? On the Superjam page of the website it says for the 10th anniversary they're focusing more on the collaborative aspect of the festival and to look for more guest appearances and sit-ins. I guess there could be a lot of guests Sunday night, but just a thought I had. Now that I'm writing this, I just though if he were playing Sunday it would be even more likely, so who knows....
