i wouldnt expect to see sts9 play for more than 2 hours. They play more focused shows than they used to and its usually wrapped up in 90 min, at least in my experience with them

It would work if the Late Night before them went on from 12:00 to 1:00. So it's possible, although that's not a great slot for whoever comes before them.

Ratatat could work well in that 12 to 1 slot.
Also, I would assume they'd let him play past three, seems like that would be rather early for a major late night tent to wrap, especially since Pretty Lights certainly can play much longer sets.

This is exactly what I thought when I saw the time.
Should we put any weight to the fact that Pretty Lights has 1:30-3am Friday listed on his facebook event?
In 2008 I remember a lot of late nights having a 1:30 -3:30 slot that turned into 1:30 - ~5:00. Seems like late night tents have been starting a little earlier lately, though.

I really hope they don't have an sci sts9 conflict like in 07. Those two and panic are my main reasons for going. The fest is so close and I've gone for so many years it's hard not to go, but if they put those 2 on at the same time again I'll probably just sell my ticket. Lack of a good trance dj and few jam acts makes this a hard sell.
I'd love to see tribe get the welcome the sunrise set like bisco last year. Sci on which > sts9 tent til sunrise would be one of the best nights I could imagine.
I'm doing ag and eff as well, but still might skip roo for waka, before I get the inevitable go to another fest reply.

Shpongle makes sense to me perfectly this late night lineup however is going to drive me nuts with conflicts will somebody make a schedule for me please? Like my own personnal schedule of madness tailored just to me and my special madness. Something not overly insane but crafted with a hook like I am in on this but something grabbed me. holographic shows, Shpongle, glowstick wars, and probably people setting things on fire, and a little Burlesque thrown in please
1-1-12 Bassnectar NYE SHOW! 1-21-12 G. Love and Special Sauce 3-1-12 Radiohead 3-9-12 Experience Hendrix 5-15-12 Jack White @ The Ryman 6-7-12 Bonnaroo 6-19-12 Roger Waters presents "THE WALL" 7-7-12 Ringo Starr's 72nd Birthday Party Extravaganza at the Ryman
I bought my tickets before the lineup dropped. I've been going off and on for years and live less than an hour from the farm. I'm just trying to justify the money I've spent on tickets for the wife and I.
Roo has changed from what it was originally, and that's fine. I love getting down on the farm and there are a few other bands I want to see but if they put tribe and sci at the same time again and not add a good house/trance dj then my late nights are effectively that set. Late nights being by far my favorite part of a fest, really make or break it for me. Not seeing mmj or primus get a late night hurts as well.
This is just my opinion on the late nights and I get that I'm not the average roo goer anymore.

I checked out the Black Angels at Bowery Ballroom (nyc) a couple weekends back and got to talk to Alex Maas (lead) after the show. He told me and a buddy of mine that they will be a 12am show on Friday night. He didn't mention which stage they would be one though.
Just thought I'd give a heads up to any Black Angels fans that might be reading this.

If that Black Angels info is true, it would be perfect for me. I could watch most of their heavy psychedelia set, then move to another tent to dance into the wee hours.
Other 12:30-1:45 Black Angles 2:15-3:30 Sissor Sisters
This 12-1 Shpongle 1:30-3 Pretty lights
That 12:15-1:15 Ratatat 1:45-4 STS9
Saturday
Which 12-1 Girltalk 1-4 SCI
Other 12:30-3 gogol bordello
This 12:15-1:45 Bootsy collins 2:15-3:45 Dr. John
That 12:15-3:15 bassnectar
I didn't think it was possible, but this schedule would allow me to see almost all of the late night shows I'm really looking forward to. I like The Black Angels being followed by Scissor Sisters on friday and Gogol getting a 2 and a half hour set so I can walk right over there after Bootsy saturday. Bravo.
I hope I can find a way to be at all of these shows... haha!
BASSNECTAR!!! I've been wanting to see this for-ev-ER! STS9 Ratatat Lil Wayne Shpongle Presents Shpongletron Experience Girl Talk Gogol Bordello Scissor Sisters Bootsy Collins & the Funk University Pretty Lights
I think I'm most excited about Bassnectar :-) Has anyone been to a show before?

Just saw Bassnectar last Thursday in Columbus. Be prepared for some heavy bass drops, particularly if you get up close. The bass was intense. I could feel the back of my hair moving and feel the sound in my chest. Good stuff - and he does a nice remix of the Pixies' Where is My Mind.
