Huge day for the Sabres! They pick up two points, Carolina loses and trail the eighth slot by five, Toronto loses and trail by seven. The Rangers won but are only two points ahead and the Sabres have a game in hand! Woohoo!
My husband went to the winter classic in Buffalo. Apparently it was snowing a lot. I think they all got sick after wards.
I've never been to that stadium without being in the club seats which are heated. My husband says I should try it. I say no.
I'm having a blue right now Nodepression
Club seats?!?!?!
That's not football in Buffalo! I was at the Pats game the day after Christmas this year -- it started below freezing and dropped ten degrees during the game! That's Buffalo Football Weather!
Of course, they also lost. That's just Buffalo football.
There are seats in Rich Stadium right in front of the Jim Kelly Club.
They're orange and have a switch underneath that you can turn on and it heats the seats. It's also covered so if it rains or snows you never know.
I get the seats sometimes because my company Shanor Electric. My husband has done the whole metal bleachers in the snow. I just don't like football that much.
nodepression: My husband can confirm that is was cold, wet and depressing.

How about the leafs/Sabres game last night?!!! Things should be interesting over the next few weeks, especially with the Canes in themix for the final spot in the East.
Laugh it up. If u make it to the Stanley cup, the Capitals will school you. No one in the league can quack with Neuvirth or Holtby. Plus, we also have Varlamov. Three goaltenders in the playoffs. We about to shut it down like Chali 2na and Galactic.

The Habs are in 6th and 7 points ahead of the Canes in 9th with only 5 games to go...I don't think they're really fighting for a playoff spot. The wheels would have to completely fall off for them to miss the post season.
Big Sabres fan here... (Born in Buffalo) I'm just happy that Toronto isn't in the playoffs.. for some reason we've been beating up on great teams, but can't seem to win the last 2 against T.O.?
So torn on who i want to make the 7th or 8th seed.I want the Sabres because I respect y'alls dedication. The Canes because I have friends in Raleigh. So I hope they replace New York or Montreal. Especially Montreal, I hate Halak. What a bitter loss

Yeah, I know that. I thought he was lost to free agency? either way, it would have been better the year before last. I believe it was game 5 or 6 where he decided to stop 54 shots and only 1 goal allowed! I went to see St.Louis play against the Caps this year at the Verizon Center. Got really good seats, about 8 rows from the glass. I was kinda bummed Halak wasn't netminding because I wanted to heckle to the crap out of him.

I think the current 8 teams in the East are what we are going to have in the playoffs. Rangers remaining two games are the Devils and Thrashers, so they are sitting easy. I don't think Carolina is gonna overcome the 3 point lead of Buffalo when the 'Canes remaining games are the Lightning, the Red Wings, and a divisional rivalry game against Atlanta. And unless the Habs totally self destruct against the Leafs and the Senators, they are in.
